Peasant vs Beadlock Wheels

I had the stock black ones and really liked them. Beadlocks look so much better in person vs pics. The black beadlocks look awesome.

I personally would get aftermarket though so none of the two

I ordered my truck with beadlock capable wheels but bought some of the standard wheels off a forum member. I'm running the standard wheels now and actually like the look of them better. It's all personal preference honestly, both look good. I'm keeping the beadlocks in case I ever change my mind LOL. I weighed them both when switching out tires and the beadlocks are 13 lbs a piece heavier. That's quite a difference, basically the same difference in weight as a 37" tire vs a 35".

Well, not really. 13lbs of wheel weight is the equivalent of ~6lbs of tire weight.

Consider this…my street tires are 32” (so the effective gear ratio with them is ~3.84) AND they weigh 16lbs less than the stock black non-beadlock combo, AND they hook better than the ATs AND probably have lower rolling resistance. But all those changes were only good for shaving 2 tenths off the 0-60 time (Dragy verified).

I guess what I’m saying is simply adding 13lbs while leaving the tire and everything else the same isn’t going to be noticeable. It takes more drastic changes…

43 lbs is still heavy for an 18" wheel, especially considering they aren't even a true beadlock unless get the parts to convert them.

Are the lug nuts for the beadlock wheels different than the stock wheels?

Both wheel choices are “stock” as they come from the factory. The proper way to ask is “Bead lock, or Peasant wheels?”

Go with the beadlocks. They definitely look better. Don't worry about the extra weight. Truck is already the slowest color so may as well look good while putting along

I was lucky a did a straight across trade for my 20" Fuel rebel 6's with 35" ko2's, Got a brand new set from a local guy. Met up at Discount Tire and split the swap fee $50 bucks I believe. They were on the truck when i bought it, wasnt a fan.

I have the black lug nuts, but I didn't like the idea of losing the key and cutting 24 lug nuts to remove my wheels.
