I’m working to make a bracket that will allow me to mount my Milwaukee packout boxes directly in the bed of my truck. This bracket will “lock” them in whenever the tailgate is closed and locked. It looks like a fair cost to anyone interested would be $150 shipped. Let me know if anyone is interested. They will be shipped as raw steel and will require drilling to the bed floor.

Here are just some sample pics. Final product will be made to fit the bed of a TRX directly.

I’m going to production tomorrow. If anyone is truly interested. Speak up now. I will not be ordering more than I need. Cost in the future will likely be $250 and would require 10 units. Otherwise it’s just not worth my time.

Correct me if im wrong, those only work with the Milwaukee case or something with the same footing?

Yes, but the packout system has a whole community around organizing and setting them up. People sell “feet” that you can attach to other items to make them compatible with the holes.

I will be using these to run a piece of plywood over the top of mine when it is not in use.

Great idea, I’m going to pass on it, I’m trying to figure out what direction to go with the bed

@BryanE4435 Just sent him a text. Hes buried in preparing for tmrw’s trip. Give him a day to respond if possible
Thanks.

I cross posted this to 5thgenrams.com

I’m going to wait until Monday before pulling the trigger.

Really like the idea. Are they designed to be mounted at the rear of the bed by the tailgate or can they be placed anywhere? There is a ton of bed deflection in the bedsides when off-roading, so I would like to run full bed stabilizers from side to side and pretty sure those would interfere in its current mounting location.

The one I’m making will be designed for this location. The leading edge will drop lower to meet the bed floor. The rest of the sides will rest on top of the ribs of the bed.

I’ll happily sell you the “prototype” that is pictured. It mounts flat and could be worked up to fit anywhere.

Last call on this.

@BryanE4435 i need a firm commitment. I’m not making money on this and don’t want to make any more than needed.

Can you make them for inside the decked system drawers? They already fit inside and almost "lock" in place. They don't move much currently it would be nice to actually build packouts inside the drawers.

Something like this will probably work better for you.

Dumb Q but how are they bolting to the floor? Are you drilling through and just mounting a nut on the underside or are you planning to use nutserts or self-tappers or smthin else?

I will use rivnuts but anything would work.
