I'm not bent out of shape , I just thought a c8 corvette sand spreader / plow would be more practical

Seeing a 1/2 ton doing plow work with a salt spreader is very rare in the first place. Seeing a 1/2 ton $100k toy truck doing it just takes it to a weird level.

Not where Im from. In Ny you'll see just about everything. Ive seen Jeeps, 1/2 tons, 3/4 tons, tractors, hell Ive seen a lawnmower with studded tires. Its all relative to where you live honestly. This isn't surprising in the least bit to me

The difference is thay that guys truck is WAY over capacity for its work. It's unsafe to drive at that point. No frame reinforcement to help with thay extra weight and zero suspension use anymore. Yours has plenty of weight left to carry and isn't riding on the bump stops.
