Ordering and Supply Chain

Been watching other threads on the site talking about supply chain issues with bead locks, and Carbon Fiber. Maybe other options as well.

I'm dealing with an order that says it will be six months out. Would you drop those options (or any others) to avoid more delays? Little hard for me to tell when we are speculating there's a supply chain issue versus what is known.

Well we seen a leaked email to dealers telling exact numbers available so it is a known issue. And in that same email tell dealers to order mainly black base/TR1 trucks. Then we seen a bunch of dealers with new base/TR1 allocations a day after the email leak. And then they have 700 trucks sitting around built not able to be released yet because of the chip shortage. And then there a bunch of people told to drop options that were on the shortage list and be delayed or remove them and get built sooner.

The only real speculation is when they get parts in because they won't even acknowledge being delayed to December because of a part...
Carbon isn't important as it is only a couple pieces in the cabin and beadlocks can be gotten out of the parts department if it is important.

Personally I would drop it if was just those 2 options. Hell I tried to drop carbon to ensure I wouldn't get pushed but I couldn't modify the order and went D1 a week later so go figure

What info do you have on this chip shortage that's delaying TRX's? Guessing that's why there are so many built and just sitting there?

Also a concern that these vehicles are piling up in the lots and are not being run. As we all know, a vehicle that just sits creates problems, too.

Have you seen supply issues affect people in D1 status??? I'm assuming you can't go D1 without there being a part allocation...

Then again... People have been in D1 status for 30+ days...

I don't know the exact part yet but it is related to it. I private message those who are affected by other issues that go on

was told one issue is parking sensors...FCA is reportedly telling dealers to have clients remove it from build, but its tied into tr2 package, which majority of people want. not good

Appreciate you taking the time to summarize what I'm sure you and others wrote elsewhere, and I didn't find clearly.

Also appreciate your personal experience with the Carbon Fiber, which is one of the specific options I was worries about.

At this moment, every time I think about gaming to do better (months ago I considered order versus wait for things on the lot), it makes me think I'm not smart enough to win that game. Better buy what I want, and accept there are dangers ahead. And those dangers don't involve anyone shooting at me, so first world problems, lucky me!
