Looks like they forgot to tighten something down or an unfortunate flaw in the part. I haven’t heard of any recalls yet but I’m sure there will be like all new vehicles. My 2019 Rebel ram had like 7 recalls. 🙄

Oh wow and you spent like 2 weeks in QA checks. Should be a simple fix. I hope they clean all that oil off too.

Yeah, I hope so. It’s not too bad I check the oil and its level...
At least being a hellcat motor all the parts are available, at least it’s not bodywork and I’d have to wait for parts

It looks to be coming from the rack n pinion. 🤔 did your steering get stiff?
My 2019 hellcat charger had the steering rack replaced within the first month or so because my wife complained how stiff it was. Turns out she was right and either the rack or pump was replaced. But the charger had hydralic steering. I believe the TRX has a electric unit.

Steering seems fine. I have it in auto and I adjusted the steering to rock and it’s very loose, I put it in sport and it stiffened up and set it at street and it’s working fine.... I kind of thought the leak was coming from somewhere else. I got about 900 miles on here and I’ve checked the oil constantly and it hasn’t moved but I still have the leak.... i’m taking it to Parkway Chrysler Tuesday morning. Hopefully quick fix

It would appear to be a cooler line fitting based on what I see in the pic. If you have ever owned a GM you should be familiar with these. Easy fix but, that's engine oil not PS fluid. Steering fluid is red on Rams. Just keep checking your oil. I feel bad your new truck is leaking but it's not the end of the world. Should be a quick and easy fix. Cheers.

Hey, that’s a bummer but I would be more concerned about all the smoke coming from underneath your truck. 😉

I usually say look for the clean spot for the leak... but that is not going to work in this case.

I am guessing it a oil line connection some where, like they missed a tightening something. I picked up a new 1500 GM work truck for an employee once and drove it to Cali to give it to him personally. I had to put oil in it twice along the way. A dealer ended up finding the leak and simply tightened the connection, topped off the oil and steam cleaned it. It was a hassle and disappointing for the employee, but it was fine after that.

that probably the only reason he is calm about it

Now begins the second functionality for this forum...chasing builds transitions to chasing first model year growing pains.

One of the few reasons not being a part of the first run of deliveries can be a good thing. Sucks to have this happen though!
