Hey T-Rexer's, feels great to join the group!
Looking forward to follow the action, my fellow palaeontologists!

Got myself a used '22 black TRX, level 1 trim a few months back. The previous owner just clocked about 2k on the odo, so for me it was as good as new.
I relocated to Dubai last year from India and all my life I longed to own a ride which had a vicious snarl. The only growls that I got during the motoring years of my 42-year existence were from Entombed, Cryptopsy, At the Gates and such.
In India, for middle class guy, the 2011 Accent and later the 2018 Tucson were a big deal. So moving up to own a TRX was like getting a boner as big as the Burj Khalifa!
Anyways Ive got a list of things to check soon... the RamBar, couple of lamps on it, the truck bed coating (apparently the trim 1 comes naked from the showroom) and the auto side step......but please suggest if i missed on any must-have mods!
Me and my boys planned a trip into the desert this winter to plunder the dunes, wont forget to share those pics here.
Next year, if all goes as planned, might Carnet it to India for a 3 month trip into the great Western Ghats.
Ive never felt more sinister in my life!
Cheers!

PS: will share the pics shortly.

Welcome and enjoy your new ride.

Welcome! Make sure to add yourself to the UAE TRX Whats app group. pm me your number and I'll get you added

I've learned if you don't have mud flaps then those wide tires sling rocks down the side of your truck and chip the paint. I bought some Weathertech from somebody who advertised on the forum. I'm not a mud flap fan, but they look fine and are very easy to install. There are other brands that folks on here like as well.

The main theme of the forum also seems to be that you need about 15 anti-theft devices. Maybe that's not necessary in Dubai, though.

Mudflaps totally make sense, haven't really thought about them coz Ive been doing dullsville trips like to work, airport, mall and all.
Weathertech mud flaps are not available in UAE, however I found Kristen heavy duty splash guards on Amazon.

Yeah in Dubai you dont seem to need anti-theft devices,, unless the UAE folks in the forum here might want to advise me otherwise.
