New tazer updates anti theft!!!!

There is an installer in weatherford, right at 200 miles away. A single day trip for an install is far better than spending money on a product that will not work. There might be more in the area, I just messaged to get an updated list
For anyone reading through this forum…. The installer in Weatherford is actually traveling to Houston this weekend to install 10 IGLA units in some TRX’s. We all split a small traveling fee and found a shop for him to work in and boom….10 more TRX’s unable to be stolen in Houston area!

Glad you all are getting taken care of.

Careful, you will be called names and told your biased for spreading facts🤦‍♂️
Nah...people arent calling you biased for spreading facts. They are calling you biased and other names because you have somehow done the mental gymnastics to consider having a forum name of "IGLA INSTALLER KY" as not an advertisement for your "side job".

Dont get me wrong. I was the biggest thorn in Z auto's side when it came to the Tazer and the 22 TRX. So im no blind fan boi.

The name chosen was to make it easier for people to ask the needed questions and get it straight from the source. I have a direct line to the company and can get answers when I need to. One of the main developers for the mopar features is in this forum too and is available to answer any and all questions concerning not only IGLA but compustar units as well as other systems. He also can answer immo and key programming questions. I am not as versed as him in those area’s right now but should be able to in the near future once I get the rest of the stuff needed to do the service myself, yes, on the side (for the time being. I have wrecked my body over the years and can’t continue to throw around wheels and tires). If you think its me advertising then so be it, thats not my intention at all. The chances of someone on this platform that has a trx that lives by me is pretty slim. My goal is to get the product information out there and let people know where they can go for it if they want it.

There are 5 gateways in most of the newer mopars I think and canbus runs throughout the entire vehicle. The only way to stop access would be to lock your doors and remove your battery so that a proximity fob can’t be used. Then you would have to use the manual key to gain access 🤷‍♂️
Thanks for the info. My follow-up question is would locking down the easy access can-bus behind the light switch still helpful by adding deterent time. How easy is it to access the other gateways you reference? Thanks

Putting a cover over it will help absolutely but will it stop them, no. There are 4 other gateways and they are about as easy to get to, pull the trim ect back and done. That gateway is the easiest and most convenient because they will be in the drivers seat already. Putting a cover over it will only add a minute or two to their total time. Cut back the harness loom and tape, look for the twisted can bus wires and snip, clip and done. It just depends on the dedication of the person stealing it. If its for a joyride they will probably just go to the next vehicle, if its for profit then they will get it. To make it the most difficult adding an igla or ravelco, the cover for the gateway, the tazer (2018 and newer ram only, other models are direct obd plugged), a kill switch and some sort of gps tracking with battery backup like the drone setup and disconnecting the emergency neutral cable will give them too many different steps and places they need to get access to and hopefully they will give up all together and at most you would have to replace a window.

Thanks for the response. In my humble opinion still shielding the gateway that's right in front of the driver's seat has merit. Could stop the inexperienced joy rider.

It’s a bit like cat shields.
If someone wants it, they will get it. But turds are lazy. They tend to skip targets that have any extra steps.

Unless the target vehicle has a bounty… and the hellcat vehicles have bounties from hot rod shops domestically, and over seas resellers.
But even then, they will have a list of “X” number of vehicles to grab that outing and hopefully they will skip if they run into a hurdle.

Im still not really sure how to send a PM. But if you can send me one. I’m very interested.
I hope you are not easily offended, but the first thought that went through my mind is that if you can’t figure out how to PM someone on the forum, you probably shouldn’t be messing with a custom wiring job on your $100K truck. :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, just a friendly ribbing. I’m sure you’re more than capable but I laughed out loud to myself at least.

How and where is the pin entered for the IGLA system?

Dick measuring contests on these forums are strong lol

When you’re right, you’re right.

Depends on the model vehicle and if one set of can bus wires are to be used or if 2 are used (different vehicles have different options) if your asking about the TRX specifically this is what you would use to pick your personal pin. Some installers have you pick your own pin, some with make a random pin for each install and give it to the customer either way there are a shitload of options for button combinations and can be anywhere from 3 to 20 keys.

Oh WOW!! 20 keys??! My truck would never be started even by me because I would forget the key entry!

5-8 is the norm for most. Anything more is just annoying lol. You can use the same key multiple times in a row so if using several buttons, adding the same one a couple times adds to the security because if someone did watch you to try and learn it, hitting one key 2 or 3 times in a row make its that much harder to catch and learned by others.

Is IGLA compatible with remote start?
Absolutely. It will do as it’s designed from the factory but will not let you go into full start mode (press the start button) unless you have the key fob (as it should in all vehicles). If you have the remote (someone took it or you yourself get in to drive away) it will go to full run after you press the run button and everything will function as it should EXCEPT it will put it into auto park mode. You can still press the brake and put it into drive but it will flash D on the dash and will remain in park. It will only allow the drivetrain to come out of park once the pincode is entered (or the igla fob ect is used but most installers will not pair them due to security concerns). Heres a video rundown made by the first and main installer in the US who also helped develop the mopar firmware blocking the relay attacks and blocking the ability to program new key fobs. There are several other videos by him showing other features ect. He is also a member on this platform. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ok, so how much is igla for a Trx?

I didn’t buy the tazer for the pin security, I’m just looking for the cool features to work with a 2022.
