New member from Dubai

Hi all,

I have been reading the forum in stealth mode for a couple of weeks and been looking at all videos and cool Hellasaurus badges.
My wife and I live in Dubai, we have been offroading and overlanding for about a year in our JK.
The JK is a great fun car but when you add up big wheels, winch, roof rack and a rooftop tent, it becomes pretty slow.

We enjoyed it so much that we decided to upgrade for a TRX. We got a Billet Silver one, fully loaded (only one spec comes to Dubai). We ll have to wait until March/April to get it (I m betting on June though).

Till then, I ll keep on reading the forum.

Fun fact: my wife is the driver of the cars

I am sure it s going to be awesome for Dunes. The JK was a bit short on power sometimes and I am sure the TRX will be eatin the biggest dune easily.
The longer wheelbase nay be harder to handle in between small dunes but we ll see

Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are all amazing for dunes. Do you remember where you have been?

We get stuck all the time and have "new situations" all the time so we never go alone

We went on a tour and were riding on bigger SUVs. About 30-45 min from Dubai. It was really great. Big 10-20 foot dunes. Enjoy it and welcomed. My wife loved it so much she wants to go back.

You need a Ripp supercharger for the JK. I have one also.

How much is the gallon of Gas there in Dubai ? Here is between 2-3 dollars per gallon
