I made a bit of a "how to" showing off some of the features of the Tazer and mostly focusing on the new stuff that the 18.2 Beta gives us as well as a bit of security. If you're curious how it works and want to see it in operation as well as a little bit of information on some of the lesser known features of the Tazer, check out the video. I've had this for a while to try to get myself acquainted with it before just putting up a video and not knowing exactly what I'm talking about so hopefully I can help some of you that are on the fence about this thing.

Customize all kinds of awesome things on your TRX with this Tazer DT and beta firmware 18.2!

Thank you!! The light show can be turned on by pressing unlock-unlock-lock- unlock from the keyfob.

Good video. I've been on the fence with this for two years now... lol Did we ever get any solid info on whether or not the forced 2wd damages the transfere case or not. Thanks.

Thanks. Nothing concrete but it stands to reason it’s probably not great for the truck so use cautiously.

Nice video.... I actually had a Tazer at my house, before my truck got here... The issues with 2022's... made me send it back, before I got my truck.

Look's like they addressed most of the issues I was concerned about it...

I guess I'm still sitting right in the middle of the fence.... Videos like this, make me want to pull the trigger, But it still seems like the majority of Tazer threads I click on, are negative.... and cause more grief than happiness.

Great video.. appreciate ALL the content you bring regarding the trucks. Whether people choose to use it is entirely up to them. Like others have said the Tazer has been one thing I have debated. The issue of potential warranty cancellation (especially with Ram horror stories on the forum) had always been my main fear. It looks like based on website they now have a quick unmarry option for dealership trips.. just curious what that does. Does this disable all your “activated” options and return the truck to stock so you can unplug the device? I would assume you have to remove the device prior to visits to avoid any risk of warranty issues on electronics/drivetrain etc (some people argue wont void engine as it doesn't affect that). Just curious how that works because the prior marry unmarry was long and tedious.

Unmarry returns truck to stock. Process takes like 1 minute to do.

If you listened to the entire video, however, he also mentioned something about turning SGW mode on which he said will allow you to leave the device in when you go into the dealer. Never heard of that mode so im curious to hear more for those of us too lazy to remove it!

Thanks so much for that video! You mention that the pin is not necessary if you lock and unlock with the same remote (hope I did not misunderstand). Does that mean that if someone clones my remote they will be able to bypass the Tazer pin security feature?

I'm not 100% sure, I'm still waiting to hear on whether or not they can clone your remote to the point that the truck actually thinks it is the same exact one that locked it or not. Stay tuned for the answer to that.

I have been using this device since shortly after I purchased the truck which was almost a year ago now. I have not really had any issues with it. I use a few features religiously and never had them fail on me, nor cause any problems that were giant issues and not easily fixed by removing the device or turning off a certain feature causing the problem.

They seem to be quick to make updates to fix any problems that do exist and I don't really see any reason why you wouldn't have one of these in your truck. There are no permanent issues caused by this device (at least not that I know of) and worst case, you remove/unmarry it from the truck and you're back to stock.

When you unmarry the device, it does return everything back to the way it was, at least it does for me. This is always the best way to handle dealership visits... Just in case. You can never be too safe on this front in my opinion.

Asking for a bit of advice please. Picking up at Koons tomorrow and want to get my tazer going right away for the Amber DRL’s and hood lights. What is the best version to download to keep
It simple until the newest update comes out?

The newest firmware available will work just fine. Go to live settings and enable the Amber lights for either running lights or both if you want them to stay on at night also. The folding mirrors are amazing also! Both work great on my 22’.
