I live in Las Vegas. The local RAM dealerships have been a dead-end. One didn't know if they would get any more after their first allocation. But would put my name on a list and take a $10,000 deposit. I did ask for their pricing strategy which was MSRP + mandatory add-on's. These amounted to an alarm, tint and etching for $799. The second dealership didn't know much but it would be a $10,000 deposit and $15,000 over MSRP. Not good so far.... The next had received five units, which were already sold. Said to check later in Dec., maybe someone would back out. The last was an out of state dealership. Their first and second allocations were sold. They would takea $1,000 deposit and would sell for MSRP. But they didn't know when the 3rd allocation would be available and there was a 50 person waiting list. They couldn't even say there would be a third allocation.

So, no go at this time. Anyone have ideas??

I would be surprised if there are any allocations left out there as i've been waiting for my truck for months...so I am guessing you need to sit back and wait until some of the trucks start to get delivered...just guessing though.

Just keep expanding your reach. There have been people letting go of their orders and allocations were suppose to open up this month. There are some dealers in the FB group that recently posted about allocations at MSRP, one of them was in Texas I believe.
My allocation is 500 miles away, so how far you willing to go?

My allocation is 400 miles away. The dealer 5 minutes away pulled the same games.

I just stopped at my local dealer and they have five allocations left. One is a launch edition. They are asking 25K over sticker. That is insane. He said this truck is going to be like the demon. This was the sales manager I spoke to. I’m glad I got a Vin on my order. It would be sweet to get a launch edition just not for 25k over.

I had a similar experience. 9/10 dealers are gouging. Just keep looking. I found two in my market that were being reasonable.

I doubt there’s any real allocations left. There may be some cancellations due to delays but dealer will just make up a John Doe sold order and then put as inventory if it last that long. Just be very cautious of allocation- make sure dealer can prove they have one for you. Otherwise you will be in purgatory...I found out the hard way

I’ve ordered a lot of highly allocated cars in the past. It’s just a waiting game in my experience. It’s painful but it is what it is. I think they’ll make the cars if the demand is there... it just might take a while. Plus, if they want to compete with Ford, they’re not going to get there by making 2000 trucks per year.

Fingers crossed things start moving after the first of the year.

Yeah they’ll open up as soon as they start having some roll off the line. If the rumors we hear are right, they’re doing the right thing from a supply chain and manufacturing standpoint. Just shit communication.

Until you get to a steady state it does no good to add to a backlog.

I hope you are correct. I’ve ordered two allocated vehicles: 2016 GT350 and 2017 raptor. Neither one showed up before dealer “inventory” at competing dealer. Bought both off the lot. Who knows if my orders ever got built lol!

Well that’s irritating. Mine were just more rare so dealers didn’t have inventory.

The dealers I talked to in this case all said customer orders have priority so let’s hope that doesn’t happen!

I’m not positive I have an allocation as of yet, but I put a 2k deposit on one that I’ll get eventually. Ended up going to 3 dealers. One wouldn’t even take a deposit, the other wanted MRSP and the last agreed to 2k over invoice. So, if you wait it out and keep looking you can get under MRSP.
