Mopar steps or Amp Research steps

If you have already flashed Uconnect after the step installed, there should be a button to activate the step within the UI, otherwise, you can bring your truck to the dealer and have them flash it

Pretty sure motor is messed up one of them.Not sure what your trying to get at?

For what it's worth, I ordered my '22 without any steps knowing I was going to have the dealer install (and flash ) a set of Mopar Power steps before I even take delivery.

Sometimes, problem is intermittent.

I would bring it in for warranty. It’s Mopar anyway.

follow up the Mopar steps have a delay which is good when you go from one door to the other. where as the amps step closed real fast.

I LOVE the delay. So good for kids. I can't imagine having them without the delay.

Installed AMP’s, really happy with them. You cant go wrong with either the Mopar or AMP, Mopar pays AMP a licensing fee & manufactures their steps via a 3rd party so in a way they are reproductions. I went with AMP’s for a few reasons - AMP’s deploy faster than Mopars & they’re more low profile, imo think they look slightly better. W/ the Mopar steps its slick w/ Uconnect but w. AMP’s override switch the ignition doesnt have to be on to move them up & down so thats a plus especially when washing the truck. The puddle lights are useless when you open the doors so the LED lights w/ the AMP’s are great too. Installed the over-ride switch by the parking brake, easy to access from outside the truck. I had the MOPAR oem running boards prior, w/ these power steps its easier to get in & out, its a more natural step up & down.

That's what I did. It only adds a couple hours of extra work for them after they perform the PDI. Make sure you use the Mopar discount coupons for the steps and install(I believe it's 10% off for install Service, and 15% off Accessories for the steps). I ordered my steps from their parts department months before I got my truck(just in case there was a parts shortage), and they just held them until my truck showed up.

The Mopar steps do have a delay. It's most notable when your getting in compared to getting out. It's not annoying but just takes a second. The wiring if you watch my Youtube video about it is super easy to do and plugs right in to the harness in driver foot area.

You have to get the dealer to add the button for the deployable step option but you can save yourself a few hundred dollars and see if your salesman can get the code entered and a few hours later your TRX will download the update over the air and boom you have the button in your uConnect.

Yea. It's not as snappy as AMP but some of my passengers have had the situation they tried to immediately jump out and the step isn't down yet.
