I’m now an owner of a TRX since 2021 I’ve been doubting to trad my truck (only strike blue 5th gen ram in Qatar).

And just before Eid, It’s my gift to my self, went with the upgrade and looking forward to a unique experience with more modifications to come.

In qatar it’s locked by the MCIT, for safety reasons which doesn’t make sense since other cars like BMW have it unlocked !!!!

I remember there was a request to MCIT for dodge jeep and ram, without a response from them.

I’m looking for a uconnect 5 retrofit maybe from an American salvage, and hope it will be already unlocked for wireless.

I know 2024 regular ram some people in qatar have the wireless unlocked from oem, which was locked after the first service, I’m not sure if any TRX have the wireless working.

We have a WhatsApp group, for TRX qatar

I think you can unlock it using alpha obd, i unlocked the horn while remote starting the car by alpha obd

The work around I used is having a Carlinkit Android AI Box, beats everything else and tucks away nicy Infront of the phone holder.

It basically uses Carplay to run a full unlimited android OS, YouTube, netflix besides full screen maps, Waze and all.
And Android Auto full screen if you still want it.

I highly recommend it. Here is a picture.

I have the same but my TRX is 2021, with u connect 4 I only have the top half,
Looking to buy a scrap or used radio from 22+ as only the uconnect 5 have this full screen capability

That's the one gripe I have with UConnect, no full screen Android Auto. Can you provide a link to the Carlinkit you purchased?

Glad you got it working, I read on some Lexus and BMW posts about licensing issue there with Carplay. I also went down a rabbit hole and learned about black points system. I wonder if it has anything to do with being a distraction while driving? Essentially its a giant 12inch phone screen. Either way glad you got something to work!

I'm sorry - had to laugh at the 'hit list' given my typical AZ commute. Almost every neighboring vehicle would have a 3/4 or 4/4 this morning. Applying make-up too!

Fascinating whether traveling in North America or elsewhere the philosophy and often seriousness/responsibility noted!

Hello, is there a solution for activation? I also bought a trx 2024 final edition. My wireless carplay also doesn't work and when I start it remotely it doesn't signal. I bought the car in Dubai.
