Middle East TRX Owners

the regional shipment of 52 TRX trucks didn’t hit the market yet ... some car traders got few trucks form US and shipped them ... attached two post one from Dubai Car showroom and one from car sale website in Qatar.

the Dubai white TRX is offered for AED 455,000 = USD 124,000 (basic trim)

the one in Qatar website shows two launch Edition trucks one private and one from a car showroom for QR 550,000-570,000 = USD 150,000-155,000

Note: VAT+Customs charge is 10% for Middle East except Saudi Arabia. Shipping is roughly USD 5000.

The official Middle East shipment is expected to hit the dealership by April 21st !!

Total of 52 Trucks in United Arab Emirates & 120 Trucks for Qatar

2nd Middle East Shipment is planned by Nov. 2021 ..!! Although doesn’t make sense since the 2022 will be available in US.

situation will get exciting in the next few months.

A recent feedback received... the actual Ram TRX 2021 deployment in the middle east is expected Mid May 2021 !

consider the start of Holy Month of Ramadan its expected that official deployment ceremony will happen toward mid May 2021

let us see

You guys have sure been in a looooong holding pattern. Hopefully the mid May date holds firm cause once you get your hands on the beast it is truly like nothing else on the road from the factories today.

Please keep us updated.

In for arab desert shenanigans

It’ll be a vast improvement over the land rovers we wheeled in israel or the old pickup trucks across the desert in jordan.
have fun.

Car delivery takes place in Qatar ,, i noticed these ones are without bead lock ! Although it has as per middle east built sheet. Users published photos of trucks few are here !!

Hi Manea,

Thanks for starting the thread!

I have a pretty good update on the above.
2 shipments arrived on the 14-17th with the TRXs for UAE but only a small portion of the 52 (I don t know exactly how many).
The trucks are now on their way to the dealership after having completed PDI in Kizad.

Mine will arrive in Dubai tomorrow evening for final preparation and I will have it Wednesday or thursday insh'allah :)
Once I have it I ll be sure to send many pics on the thread

Well I have no idea what it's like to drive in Middle East. Tell me somewhere one goes to "off road". Can I look it up on google maps? Can you just race the car next to you at a street light? Curious. Thanks. Congrats on your TRX almost being in your hands.

Hi Shawn,

we have plenty of locations... mainly off roads ,, for racing it is illegal on main roads but there is limited authorised racing tracks.

for off-road with high sand dunes a place called Alkhatam you can see it below

Dropped pin

Thank you for sharing. I dropped google into street view and had fun looking around.

Here's a famous set of sand dunes near me https://goo.gl/maps/3Ws9p5m14kET7WYa6

Small world. My TRX is also supposed to arrive around May 15th.

Be good.

Well hello Manea,

As of Qatar they started getting them by air planes the first official cars distribution started on the 15th of February, it was consisting of three Cars only and from that time until last week almost 20+ Cars were all air fright reaching Doha about 2 days after leaving the assembly line.

I'm not aware about the rest of the region but I know for fact that the allocation for 2021 is for Qatar with about 120+ TRX's and the rest for the whole GCC is way less than that number.

The sea fright were unloaded and delivery started with the second week of April

I'm waiting for a year before pulling the trigger on the new TRX specially with those youtube videos, I'd rather wait for the price to be reasonable.

with the new VAT system which we still don't have it in Qatar I'm still going to wait until next year.

I‘m proud seeing something so uniquely American represented around the world. Drive in good health guys! I love seeing these pictures.

What's "normal" driving like? For instance, here in the United States, specifically California but it's not that different across the country
  • mph = miles per hour; kph = kilometers per hour
  • 25mph (40kph) in a residential zone where people live
  • 40mph (64kph) - 50mph (80.5kph) in the local cities and towns
  • 65mph (105kph) on the freeway (a big highway | 3+ lanes on each side of the road) is the LEGAL speed limit but people travel 75mph (121kph) regularly and no one would get a ticket. Many even drive up to 80 (129kph) - 85mpg (137kph) regularly and rarely get a ticket. If you get a ticket, it's just a fine.
  • There's no legal limit I know of set above 80mph, but on some freeways | highways "in the middle of no where" people drive faster than that without issue
Does that seem slow to you?

Or normal?

Or fast?

I am enjoying this conversation about TRX around the world.

Here in the middle east namely United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi / Dubai/ etc) we:

. use K/H kilometers per hours
. 60-80kph within residential areas
. 100-120 kph within city boundaries
. 140-160 kph on highways.
. no roads without speed limits amd cameras are placed in every corner.

speed limits are factor or how tidy and wide you roads is ... for us the above is widely known to be lower than our roads capacity quality ... but the speed limites worked well to reduce number of fatal accidents over years.

Mine has arrived in Dubai today and is in PDI!
Getting it Thursday

Thank you Ya3qoub for the updates ... your updates are explaining why Qatar has started earlier ... the new orders in Qatar is way higher than entire GGC.

the last shipmen appears to be received by sea shipping .. great information thank you
