Hello all,

My name is Ben and I am located in Houston, Tx. I have been watching the TRX market for a while waiting to jump in for the right truck. I currently have a 2020 Ram 1500 Longhorn 4x4 with ORP, PPF, ceramic coating, 34" Nittos, Borla exhaust and air intake. I am aware of the theft problem with these trucks so I will be on the look out for that but the truck will be garaged in my quiet neighborhood with a bunch of retired neighbors!

Thanks

You will love the TRX. Highly recommend you research anti theft systems (IGLA seems to be the most effective currently) especially based on the area you live in. Keeping it in a garage is great when you are at home but your truck will be vulnerable every where else.

My sympathies for having to live in Houston, but don't let the lowlifes/scumbags that live there stop you from buying and enjoying what you want. (FYI, I lived there over 50 years before I could retire and move away.) And no matter what security you add to your future TRX, NEVER park it at IAH or Hobby.

Sooner you get one the longer you have to enjoy it.

I only have one suggestion, try to find one that’s fully loaded with all options. This way you don’t miss out on anything it can offer.

thoughts on this one?

I also need to tow a small camper trailer. Tongue weight is about 550 lbs. This one has Eibach's 2.6" front and 1.5" from what it is says. but I am wondering if this should have said 2.7" front. From what I know, it is not the HD rear springs which could be a problem.

That is a great looking truck. Unfortunately, I can’t help you with your question. However, I have a ‘22 Level 1 that I would consider selling.

There are a few issues with that truck. The price is too high for a year and a half old truck with 33k miles. The $7k upcharge for the wheels, tires, and lift is ridiculous. Everyone knows that you rarely get a 1:1 return on aftermarket parts. Three owners in 18 months. It appears that the owner(s) did not follow the mandatory 6 month/6,000 mile oil change interval. The first documented oil change was at 4 months and 14k miles. It's possible that the 1st owner did another oil change himself (unlikely). If not, that oil was hammered by 14k miles and I wouldn't buy it for that reason alone.

Hello Ben. It’s Ben. From Houston as well.
I’m about to post mine for sale.
It’s a 2023 with less than 14k miles and it already has IGLA and compustar alarm.
Ping me if interested.

I would be looking for a Lvl 2. May reason being is I already have a longhorn loaded out and to go to a truck that is worth twice or more than mine with less options seems silly.

I have a 21 level 2 with every single option and 30k miles i would consider selling

Thoughts on this one for the right price? Carfax has red flags but based on the mud flaps and bed cover, seems like they took care of it.
I have a good offer on the trade in for my current truck.
That truck was registered (on the forum tracker) to the user @Absolutezer0. Unfortunately, he hasn't been active here since January 2022.
That truck was ordered on 12/9/21, and got a build sheet on 4/11/22. That's all I know about it.

Would definitely inquire on what the "minor damage" is and have it checked thoroughly.
Unless you are going to drive it to the ground. Any damage will kill and future resale value. Also doesn't look like he did any service at the dealerships as those are not recorded. I know even oil changes show up on mine....(2 oil changes in ~3200 miles are listed)

Yes, I also wondered why it wouldn't have any oil changes in the service history.

Is the right price worth the risk?

I sent a PM to him to see if he gets it and responds so I can learn more.
