Limited at 118 mph

Back in the day, pretty sure most of us ran our first car(s) like they were race cars. On the corners, lots of 14" rubber rolling under and rubbing off the white walls! How is the new engine build going?
LOL it's not at the moment. When I priced everything out it was $90k. I could buy a whole new sports car for that price, lol. So I am rethinking things. I almost pulled the trigger on doing a build through Robby Woods for his new body packages, but the price changed from $51k when I initially talked to him to $80k when we were going to move forward so I declined on that as well. If I can't trust you I won't do business with you. So I'm pondering on either not going as aggressive on an engine build through SRT Autoworks, or waiting until I actually need a new engine and doing the build I want, or lastly, maybe moving forward with putting a steel building on the 66 acres we have down south and enjoying the land more. Only problem with that is finding a good contractor which is hard these days. Decisions......decisions, lol. In the meantime I still have a pretty badass truck and I have nothing to complain about.

I did like 120 in the truck(definitely a fluke).it didn't like it and went to limp mode. Restart ready to go lol

I did 122 in this back in the day, road looked real narrow. Don't know if I would do it again if I knew then what I know now.

First time I ever went over 120 was in 1968 in a 59 Plymouth Fury with a 318 2b and a 3 speed automatic. Not sure how much over 120 it did since that as far as the speed-o would register. My guess is ~125.

Lot's of unique features on that car. examples, rectangular steering wheel, push button transmission and a bar scaled speed-o. A real land yacht back in the day.

Pic is not my car but mine looked just like it.
