Ahoy! So I haven't heard from my dealer since before Thanksgiving. I ordered first week, VIN #816. So I messaged him yesterday asking for a update and if he had any info as to why people who ordered after me with vins in the 2, and 3 thousands have their trucks already and mine is still in D1 status. This was my reply this morning...
"My GM got ahold of our rep and he said that only launch edition and a handful of sold orders have been done. They do them in the order of which they were received. The only thing is some parts are on back order or short and that holds them up."
Now, the part where "they do them in the order received" seems to be directly conflicting with the info on this forum. Am I taking crazy pills or is my dealer feeding me bullshit? Every bit of info from them drives me closer to bailing. Are any of you getting fed this run around from your dealer? Sorry for the venting, just frustrated with this whole mess.

Complete BS from the dealer. Take a look at the spreadsheet, lot's of high option, high VIN, non-LE trucks being produced.

sounds like part BS part truth. Based on what I've seen on here there are parts shortages or impending ones.

Oh I see, thats why I'm pissed being told what he said. I know its BS

A GIANT'S hand!

Curious what you have "seen?" Potential pending parts shortages has nothing to do with building out of order, non LE's, etc.

My dealer is either clueless or lying to me also. I asked for my status and they said they can't see anything but they were able to provide my vin 730. I shared a screen shot showing triple B daily production list and they replied saying "you know more than we do". I'm leaning toward clueless!

You are totally at fault. As a consumer you are not supposed to be a literate consumer, but a consumer that is ignorant and laps up every word the salesman tell you. If I were you I would nod my head and not disagree with the manager as he knows he is smarter than you.

PS. Lies really piss me off, I have left a dealership based up lies like this, but alas he has a truck you want.

BS. Even with shortages they still building every option. The only people affected are those that were called to have options removed.

I'll give you some comfort in that every week 1 August customer order I have pulled build weeks for all had build weeks by 3/1. The only ones that didn't follow that rule were like BG status orders but 60+ vins i pulled in C or D status did.

But it is the fault of Stilettoes that they keep dealers in the dark. They don't give any dates when the truck is going to be built even when it is flagged D1 on the dealer end. And then they only give a ship date and still not build date.

Thanks BTG, you are a God walking among men.. I swear I filled out your form back when it first came out now it says my VIN is going to South Dakota which is wrong. Should I submit another form? Now I'm worried my truck is going to someone else 🤔

I am guessing the rep is giving them misinformation or the dealer is possibly trying to spin it to tell you something other then "we don't know" I ordered 8/18 and got a vin in the 4000s and won't see a truck for probably 2 months.
Dealers are sometimes like:

They can't admit "I don't know"

Can you provide a build date for 0730 Nenraska?

I'm with you in spirit. Once your truck gets made, it's easy to forget about the guys getting screwed and left out. I think they are trying to rationalize not having an answer for you but it is a lie either way which is infuriating.

The truth is, most dealerships have absolutely no clue. However they feel obligated to communicate to the customer some thing that’s meaningful, which they totally should feel obligated to do that. However, this does not justify lying or false information.

FCA or stilettos needs to provide more information to the dealerships so they can provide accurate information to the customers. Just like @KnightMare said above.

Working on them every day but I can only get a couple here and there until all the plants open back up in a couple weeks.
Fill out the form and I'll see about getting your build week, I don't see you on my list

I completed the build tracker form. Thanks for your help.

I meant that if his hasn’t been built yet (for whatever reason) and it was going to be built say today but they ran out of widgets then his build would be delayed by the widget shortage. So his dealer telling him his delay caused by a parts shortage could be partially true.

My dealership has no clue AND feel no obligation to tell me anything!
If not for this forum, the guys contributing to it, their sources, etc.
I would be completely in the dark about my truck.
