Saw that someone drove their new TRX from a NY dealership to NC.

I am picking mine up from Pulaski WI and driving her all the way to my home in Seattle, WA. 1918 total miles.

I'm personally looking forward to the trip. I've done the i-90 Seattle to Chicago trip many times (I went to school in Ann Arbor). Looking forward to tearing through Montana (not looking forward to the gas stops). I plan to produce a youtube video on it.

So what is the longest "dealer to home" trip on the forums? How many miles did you go to take home your TRX?

Any concerns with doing such a long trip right out of the gate? Any issues during the trip?

My Dealer to home trip is only 38 miles. I don't have the exact logistics yet, but it may be by trailer. My Raptor rode a trailer 118 miles home. When I bought the Duramax I used my Lifted Jeep Rubicon to take my trailer to the Duramax 288 miles away and the Duramax had to work to get home.

Although I am considering a goal of traveling to go to all 48 lower states in the first year.

As for your concerns about a long trip I would not be concerned at all. When I picked up my Jeep Rubicon in Omaha I had a very eventful trip home: I got stuck in snow on the top of a mountain in Idaho on a logging road, visited Victoria and Vancouver (crossed international borders with temp stickers; I got pulled over for lack of a plate in Seattle (he could not see the temp tag in the window), pulled over in Durango Colorado for the tag; Took a fun one lane path over the rockies; pulled over near Axtel, Nebraska for temp tag, and finally arrived home with 5000 miles on the odometer ready for the first oil change.

I will lose. Mine is only 5 mins away. But I did have to pay ADM so that was the downside. Good news is that I won't have to take off from work to go drive my truck home:unsure:....hmm maybe I should have looked further away

Drove mine home 200 miles last night. I would just be sure to continue to vary rpms/gears while you drive to let it break in properly. I rolled in 6/7/8 the whole way

My dealer is only 30 miles away, however, if I get my truck in time planning on driving from South Texas to Colorado in March for spring break. if the schedule allows me to get truck before that trip I may be best served by trying to put as many miles on it before I leave for the trip!

My distance is about 40 minutes...:ROFLMAO: and I was barely over MSRP. Win-win.

Triple B got his truck! Wahoooooo!!!

I'm 230 miles from Abilene to Greenville. I wish it were 500 so the break in would be essentially over.

Wave as you drive by. I am in Tomah, WI and I’m certain you will be driving right by me on your way back to WA.

I live in Miami and bought a truck in San Antonio about 1400 miles away.
I was going to simply transport it for $800-1200 and get it delivered to my office but now I think I’m going to drive it with a buddy and make some stops on the way. A fun road trip like I was in college.

Flying up to Michigan with my son (if it ever gets out of QC hell) and driving it back for a nice father-son bonding day. ~540 miles Detroit to Nashville. At least it'll be broken in once we get home.
