MY2023, Level 2. Today my left steering wheel controls on front and back stopped working. They are also not lighting up. Right side is lit and operational. The horn works.

A little general Ram sleuthing found that this isn’t a unique problem but the ones that pointed to the clockspring being the issue usually also had a bum horn. I seated all the under hood and under steering wheel fuses. No joy. Going to take it to the dealer this week but just curious if anyone experienced a similar problem.

I have the exact same problem. Did you find out what the problem was?

Nope. Dealership took it in, took the wheel apart, didn’t notice anything unusual, and put it back together. When they put it together it started working 🤷‍♂️

Just wanted to report this is happening to my 2024 final edition. I have an appointment at the end of June. Sucks not being able to change the dash settings at all. Also cannot reset for the upcoming oil change I need.

wonder if the plug for the left controls is not seated properly. If your are comfortable taking the airbag off you can check the plug.

Finally got an appointment at the dealership today. They told me I need a new clock spring and that they’re on backorder. What the heck is a clock spring?

Isn't that like a watchamacallit?
The only thing that comes to mind is the turn signal return spring (or something like that) because as you turn the steering wheel you "clock" it.

From a website.
If you try to drive a car with a defective or broken clock spring, you will have a lot of difficulty turning the steering wheel, and if you do this for too long, it may cause major damage to other elements of your vehicle, like the horn and radio controls, not to mention placing you, the driver, in danger.

When I asked about not driving the truck they said it was safe to drive.

I had the same issue on my 24 final edition last week. I simply took the airbag off (while disconnecting -ve battery terminal). Re-seated the two connectors in side the wheel. Started working fine. may be they were loose from factory.

Same issue here. '23 Level 2. All worked fine until 28,000 miles. I had a low tire message go on last week in the morning (was a bit colder than usual) and message stayed on. Couldn't cycle through the screen with left arrows and "OK" button and also the heated steering wheel would not work.

Yesterday I disconnected positive battery wire. Then pushed in the two airbag clips on steering wheel sides to pop out the horn / airbag.

Disconnected the 3 connections and I put a small amount of dielectric grease, then reconnected connections and re-installed airbag / horn.

All good now!!

Thanks for everyone's help here on the forum. HATE going to dealer for stuff like this.

glad that fixed your issues. How bad was it for you getting the airbaf off? It really is the worst part

No doubt!! I had to watch various youtube videos to really understand what it was I was trying to accomplish with sticking in a 4mm Allen wrench, however, about 30 minutes of cussing and questioning my life, finally did the trick. Once I had one side popped off, the other side was pretty easy. That was the hardest part though for sure.

But it beats leaving my truck at dealer for days, so was very thankful to avoid that.
