Good morning forum members:

Congratulations to all whom have received their TRX....it's very inspiring reading the happiness tales of those that have taken delivery. I am a little confused of how the "LE" designation is being used.......many members have posted pics of their LE without the rambar or spare tire in the bed. I thought the LE was the 702 US versions which were fully spec'd out in the Anvil Gray (grey). Some clarification would be helpful.....

Thanks to the admins on this forum......lots of work with no pay.......

LE is Launch Edition
All 702 are spec'd the same with all the interior and tech options.
Exterior is up to the dealership. Some won't let you change the exterior options and made people get Ram bar and tire carrier.

The Rambar, the bed mount for the spare, reverse steering control, ram telematics, running boards & the tow mirrors were all options I added

As far as I have been able to tell, these are the only options on the Launch Edition:
Engine block heater
Trailer Tow Group
Black power mirrors
Running Boards or Rock Rails
RamBar
Bed Mounted Tire Carrier
Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover
Trailer Reverse Steering Control
All other options are included ie: sunroof, beadlock, harman kardon, etc.

That helps clear it up. Thanks for the detailed response.

Most dealers forced people to get rambar/tire carrier because they claimed the plant wouldn't let them edit it.

Yes. Do you think they just didn’t know any better or were trying to run up the price? Or both? lol

I’ve spoken with a lot of managers and sales people and the extent of knowledge by all has been all over the board. Many do not know the details we do.

Found mine (Luckily) without the RamBar or tire carrier. I run a hard trifold and bed extender in my current ram, and wanted to transfer it over to the LE. Harder to do with those options installed.

From what I was told from the dealer was they had no ability to select the options and all LEs coming into Canada were with the same options. Again I believe it was another marking ploy by FCA my guess would be a 50/50 split on those who would want the Ram bar, don't know of anybody who want the bed tire carrier, its not like it comes with a second spare tire, they just relocate the already included full size spare.

As a dealer, when I ordered ours, I just did a variety of launch editions. Some of it is strictly what I think someone may want given historical data from a Rebel. I have ordered complete base stock units. Not even level 1, so personally, I am not trying to run the price up.

Great to hear there are still honest dealers out there. I do wish you guys were the rule and not the exception. Searching around with my local dealers in greater Vancouver, there is no real knowledge on the TRX but we know it is popular so lets get as much as the market will bear.
