How does the increase of a 37 inch tire effect the shift quality of the transmission? Stock transmission shifts great. Is there a difference in mpg? Has any one changed the axle ratios to compensate for the larger tires? Will a 37 spare fit?

I've done nothing to compensate for 37's. Only issue I have is shift points when climbing steep hills. Haven't noticed much difference in MPG's but I honestly haven't checked it after the first couple months of ownership. Stock spare. If I ever get a flat I'm sure the stock one will get me somewhere safe just fine.

Does the transmission hunt for the the right gear or is the speed it shifts, just different? You shouldn't run different sized tires on a 4wd. You could really mess things up. Please do some research.
