Just ordered China Alibaba Kooks 2inch 200 cell cat replica Headers

All that does is hurt U.S. manufacturers and the vendors supporting this platform; whether they are fully built here or source certain components overseas. Flooding the space with Alibaba knockoffs doesn’t help anyone long term.

For what it’s worth, I’ve always run Kooks headers. Loved them on my SVT Raptor and still running them on my Mustang. Haven’t done the TRX yet; newborn life slowed that project down but it’s on the list.

I’m not saying you’re cutting corners, but these parts are going on TRXs, not 1980s Civics. That Hellcat engine isn’t cheap, and a failure from subpar components could get very expensive, very fast. Hopefully they hold up because that’s not a gamble I’d personally take.

There's always a different view of how things work. When I was in the fintech business I built my self service customer kiosks from China and all my promotional give aways were from china. Many things are from there directly since Americans have basically grown to be lazy, over demanding and less innovative the past 50 years. We can get into all that about whether china is making things bad or just accept the global free economy of what works. The more money I can save I can put back into my local economy.

But like I said we shouldn't debate a point that has nothing to do with simply knowing you have options and knowing it would be wise if your fears aren't well warranted. There are those who realize a plant in China can do just as good of a job especially when it comes to industrial manufacturing. Bending a metal, welding a metal if it is the same metal is no longer rocket science. The key is understanding the trade off of what corners are cut and whether it is something to really worry about.

The other point about this being a trx and not a civic, those are all marketing strategies to tell you whether you should pay x price for the car and reality is the same amount of development is put into these cars whether you choose to believe it or not. I have a good understanding of supply chain management and know the process of building a trx or civic boils down to how the company perceives to make a profit of the product. Unless it is a Bugatti or pagani all these production cars are the same whether you believe it or not. Now if it is a collector car and I choose to retain that perceived value the market sees in my car then would I consider placing more "reputable" replacement parts in it. Again that is all just a process of marketing again simply to keep my car's resale value. But nonetheless all those points are meaningless if you plan to keep the car for yourself when the main point is whether you made the best choice or not in buying the debated part.

My original post was simply to let those wise enough to make informed decisions to know the option is out there. People who say they won't buy it bec it's from China just are ignorant.

If they turn out to actually match BC Forge's quality, would you be willing to share the love and hook a man up with the contact?

I've always loved the Fikse FM5 but they're so $$ and the 2nd hand market for them has dried up.
But this looks pretty much... like an FM5 copy - https://bcforged-na.com/modular/mhe25/
Of course I will pass it along once I get them later this month

Yeah I noticed over the years a lot of our stuff is just Chinese parts rebranded. Obviously you have to be smart about buying stuff from Chinese sites but as you proved its certainly possible to get good parts. Did you post pics of your bumper? I'd like to see it.
Yes the thread is below about the china bumpers. Many were laughing saying it wouldn't fit but it fit perfectly and was easy to install myself. Another person even commented he thought it wouldnt be structurally safe for collision.

with this bumper now I feel like I need some wider fenders. It makes the truck look too narrow.

Good luck, mg biggest concern would be fitment issues, seems like all “cheaper” headers/exhaust dont quite line up.

On the cats is there a gesi stamp, or cpsi #?

Here are the wheels I got from China. They were really nicely packed and came looking perfect. Interestingly enough people have not a lot of good things to day about china wheels yet i removed the fuel fusion forged wheels i previously had on the truck and it says made in china.

How did you order these or look at the options?
Alibaba is just like ebay or Amazon just message them and they will send you a quote. I been buying from this site for my business since the early 2010s. One time I ordered custom pens for giveaway and they sent me 1million custom pens for 7500 dollars back then. Nowadays so many people buy from China the savings is down to 1/2 the cost here.

A rep from the company will go over the sales process with you and customize down to the color code of the wheel.

Well shoot, now I know what I'll be browsing for the next week.
One thing I forgot to point out is they even allow you customize the center cap. I had them put a t rex mopar logo on mine lol. You can see if you zoom on the wheels

I have bought 12 sets of forged wheels from Alibaba, first set was back in 2015 or so. I have bought beadlock race wheels, truck wheels, Jeep wheels, 2 sets for Mercedes. My second set I bought from a supplier and not a manufacturer, they had issues with what I ordered compared to what I got. Other than that I love all of them I have had. Never an issue. Buy from a manufacture that's been around a while and you'll have zero problem. I love American made, but 80% of the wheels sold now are from China, then these American companies got stupid greedy. I have no problem taking my business away from a company like that

New to Alibaba here - is there a way to tell if what I'm looking at is being sold by the manufacturer vs. a supplier?

Years ago - as a self-mission/WTF curiosity I took over ordering 'branded swag' (err promotional items) for a large IT company. Pens we had been paying .77 cents for I quickly realized our Distributor was paying .22 cents for when they landed Stateside. Don't have an issue with someone making money in that role but the mark-up was disgusting for a f'ing pen.

Needless to say - it drove work-arounds as a result.
