JL Audio Stealthbox - Same as the Ram 1500?

As we all wait patiently for the TRX to arrive, my question goes out to those that will have a chance to play with the rear seats first. If you got the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group, does that come with rear reclining seats? I can't seem to find out. I went with the HK sound upgrade but I know the sound will be so much better once good subs are added. There's just no comparison to what JL can do in small spaces. So my question is regarding the Stealthbox currently made for the Ram 1500 and if it will fit or not. The one question JL wants to know is if it has rear reclining seats or not and I've got no clue.

So two things....

Is the interior of the truck essentially the same as the 2020 Ram 1500? If so.... Does the TRX have rear reclining seats?

I could always wait until the truck arrives but I have laser shifters ready to go and I'd like to get the sound beefed up as soon as the truck gets here also.

I dont know if they are the same interiors exactly, I'm assuming yes, but the trx does come with rear reclining seats and it has that little storage under the rear seats too.

The TR 1 upgrade stays with no split seating and no reclining. The TR 2 upgrade adds a 60/40 split seat and reclining as well.

Reviving this thread months later lol. The sub for HK in DT is behind the seats, in the rear firewall. I'm also thinking about this Stealthbox so I would be curious to see what everyone's thoughts are

It would be awesome to bring my system from my 17 Ram to the trx. I hope we can find out this info! The factory sub is cute, but nothing compared to some real boom boom!

Great question and I trust the JL engineers explored that option first. If you find something please let us know. In my experience the Stealth Box will have no equal.

Agreed, I have always been impressed with the JL boxes I have had in various vehicles in the past. I had the dual 10 stealthbox in my megacab for a while, before building a custom box behind the back seat for more subs. Anytime space was tight, JL was my go to and when space allowed custom boxes are always great too.

In the 1500 it looks like you get dual 10's with the reclining rear seats and dual 12's will fit if you have fixed rear seats. I believe the base model and the TR1 have the fixed and the TR2 trim is when you get the heated and cooled reclining rear seat, at least that is what the online builder makes it seem.

Just read further on the specs page and even the dual 12s aren't available with the fixed if the truck also has the Under-Seat Storage Compartment so even the TR1 would use the dual 10's.

I want the stealthbox but boy that underseat storage is so useful. I'll have to get used to using the in floor storage I guess..

I gave up my diesel for a LE Gladiator and have kicked myself ever since. Thank God for the Ram TRX and an excuse to give this little thing to my son!

I've got that single 13" under the rear seat in my Ford maxed out on wattage and it absolutely kills. You'd never guess it was a single sub. I'm hoping to keep the rest of the system stock but we will see how long that lasts.
