  • Hennessey Performance will open orders on the Mammoth 6x6, a 1200-hp tune of the Ram TRX, this Friday at 1 p.m. ET.
  • There will only be three Mammoths, and they will cost $500,000 apiece.
  • Hennessey says this is its most expensive, most exclusive truck ever.
Sealy, Texas (September 1, 2020) — The team at Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) is planning to build the biggest and most powerful truck in the company’s 29-year history. HPE will soon be building a 6X6 conversion of the 2021 Ram TRX truck. However, the 702 bhp factory Hellcat supercharged V8 will be replaced by a specially tuned 7.0L Hellephant engine that will deliver over 1200 bhp.

Since 2017, the Hennessey team has built and delivered a total of 15 VelociRaptor 6X6 and GOLIATH 6X6 trucks to clients from around the world, making them some of the most exclusive vehicles ever produced by Hennessey Performance. Hennessey will only be building a total of three Mammoth 6X6 Hellephant-powered Ram TRX trucks which will make it the most powerful and most exclusive truck ever offered by the company. It will also be the most expensive with a cost of $500,000 which includes the base Ram TRX.

“We are very excited about the Ram TRX,” said company founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “MAMMOTH 6X6 powered by a 1200 HP Hellephant motor is just a completely ridiculous idea, which is exactly why we are doing this. We are only going to build three examples which will likely make this the most exclusive and most expensive truck we’ve ever built.”

In addition to its all new 6-wheel drive and all new truck bed conversion, MAMMOTH 6X6 will have a fully upgraded off-road suspension, bespoke interior, upgraded front and rear bumpers with upgraded LED lights and more.

Due to the limited edition nature of this vehicle, Hennessey will only accept orders starting on September 4, 2020 at 12 noon central time. Buyers must call 1-800-897-0426 to place their order.

Now that's a beast. I wonder what the payload on that will be!

I want to see it race a velociraptor

I hope everyone is aware that there is an inherent problem with this concept, other then it being crazy expensive and taking a great motor that could be tunes and sticking in a bigger one. This is a lot longer then the stock, and while 6wd has many advantages over 4wd in trucks of the same length and weight, this is significantly longer and heavier.
If they really wanted to engineer this for off road performance the rear wheels should have been moved forward to save space and to utilize the dead space between the rear of the cab and the wheels.
Does it look cool, hell yeah, will you be able to say 1 of 3 sure. But is it any better in real life? Not sure...

Totally agreed with what you said above. I'm no engineer, but to do it right, even when it is done right... there are so very few uses/advantages.... Its just ridiculously cool looking! lol

I bet you‘re fun at parties, “come on man” lol!

It is just a render and I'm sure it'll look better in person when they make it. 500k, no one is going to seriously off road it, it'll be in a couple youtube videos in the desert and then live in someone's collection

More importantly, I hope everyone would do their due diligence and look up John Hennessey and his history with delivering these vehicles before they send a check. I had lunch last week with a few guys here in Dallas that talked me out of a Ford Venom and had a folder of documentation from the legal battle that ensued after he ran off with their money. They said they had almost a dozen more willing to share there experience with a prospective buyer.

It broke my heart because he builds some great cars and he's doing crazy stuff with the new Coyote V8.

I'm not here to smear anyone but rather share what was told to me here recently. Look online if you'd like more info.
