For those running 108mm or similar larger throttle bodies, what intakes have you settled on? I have the S&B stretched a little so it’s a better fit with the 108mm TB but that still leaves the intake elbow as the restriction point (about 100mm). I believe @10mpg fabbed an adapter pipe to go from S&B to 108mm but wondering if there are other options that still utilize the hood scoop that I’m not thinking of. Would like to avoid all the 5” hot air intakes.

Thanks all!

I sent a NW 108MM to Ryan & S&B for their TRX I believe there may be an idea to do a tube or a coupler possibly(dont quote me exactly) that works with that better once they were finished using the 108MM on the cars for testing.

They just wrapped up an updated intake tube for 108MM for Hellcat Cars & my car was one of the test cars, I have some of the 3D printed tubes cool to see the progression into the real thing.

Thanks for the reply. I heard from another friend that S&B is working on a pipe for the whipple builds too. But I reached out to them and they said nothing is in the works. Wonder if the person answering their emails is not in-the-know. You said Ryan is your contact there?

For the 2.4 or you have something else in the works?

The way I read the details in the AFE intake instructions they come with 108 ID couplers so probably a bit less restrictive. Since you already have the S&B a larger reducing coupler is probably better then a whole new intake.

The issue isn’t the coupler. I already have the intake installed with the S&B using a 4.25 coupler (which means closer to 4 inch ID of the tube). Problem is that since the intake is designed for the stock 95mm TB it necks down to less than 108mm prior to the coupler. I believe the AFE does the same. If the coupler is 108mm (4.25 in) then the actual ID of the intake is likely less than 4 inches.

What about The K&N? I know it’s not a five inch C.A.I., but it flows well and it does not delete the ram air.

I used these folks for my 130mm tb, maybe something here you can use?

He's trying to eliminate anything smaller than his TB itself. Most intakes are designed for factory TB sizing.

I guess when I read "I have the s&b stretched a little" i thought he was referring to the coupler. A 90 degree coupler.

Interested in this as well! Thanks for opening this as it was something I’ve been wondering as well. Would like to keep the S&B when go Roth ported about and 108mm tb. Perfect noise level too, some of the other ones I’ve heard videos and are obnoxiously loud while cruising on the highway (plus just sucks hot air)

With long tube headers and a different cam shaft the hot air intakes quiet down ALOT. Did anyone figure out how to get the S&B intake on a 108mm throttle body?

Did mine by heating and stretching the intake tube slowly but couldn’t quite get it to be above 108mm without thinking I might split it. So plan to fab an adapter similar to @10mpg this winter.

I've got the K&N with a 108mm Kong TB and 1" FI spacers and it doesn't even come close to fitting.

I'm going to heat up and push the main part of the intake in to clear the supercharger, then get a laser scan of the engine bay and 3d print my own elbow. It's just not high on my list of things to do as I have a tube intake I fabbed up for the time being.
