How to remove center console lid(s)

Does anyone know how to completely remove the center console lid(s)?

I've figured out how to remove the cushion, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the two plastic lids.

I'm working with a company to prototype something very cool for our center console, but it can't happen until I can figure out how to get the lids off.

Once the end cap is removed, you can proceed to remove the lid (step 2 of the procedure below is detailed above)
