It took a long time to get to this decision. I had a loaded 2020 Raptor that I sold for a nice profit. Which left me with the question- New Raptor or New TRX. After a bunch of study, I decided the TRX is the one I want to ride. Ordered today - Flame Red, Tech Group, Level 2, Red Accents, Adv Safety Group, Bed Utility Group, 19-Spkr Harmon Kardon, Dual Panel Sun Roof, Mopar Running Boards, Bead Locks and External Graphics.

I'm pretty pumped.

Now the wait...

Welcome to the dark side Redtrx. I was Ford for 25 years and bought a 2020 1500 Limited last year. Waiting anxiously for my TRX. You will love the attention to detail of the RAM line compared to Ford. One thing that never gets mentioned here comparing RAM and Ford is seat comfort. Huge advantage to RAM in this department.

I am in the same situation. Just put my 2020 Raptor up for sale (had a gen1 before that) and ordered a TRX earlier this month. Anxious to get back into a V8, especially one that puts out 702hp.

You can add me to the list. I own a great 2014 Raptor Shelby Baja700, 700 HP with 10,000 miles. Decided to go with a TRX, Raptor will be going down the road once I take possession of the TRX. I was waiting to see what Ford did with the Raptor R. I gave up waiting, also pumping a 5.0L to 700 HP in a truck, I doubt will happen. Had Ford pumped their 6.2L to 700 HP, now that would have been great. I have and still own many performance Fords, looking at the facts, the switch to TRX was obvious.

Born and bred Ford guy myself. Once owned a 18 Raptor. The TRX is night and day different. The ride, the quality, the power and of course the exhaust are just amazing. You won’t be disappointed. It’s amazing a 6,300 pound vehicle can get up and go like this thing does.

Based on unofficial data, about 82% of the members here were prior or current Raptor owners. Based on the current Gen 3 details, that figure will probably increase to 94%.

Well obviously with my name lol, I came from the raptor department. I still love my raptor yes, but officially unloaded it yesterday as my very respectable down payment for my soon to be built TRX...

My dealer made me an offer because he had a buyer, and I couldn't refuse. So I'm driving car number 2 now!!
Hopefully a fast build too, as his computer showed a ship date of 811!? I hope that's right...saw it fir myself!!

But it still hasn't showed up here on updates, so who knows...

Anyway, I'm definitely all in now!😁

Yes I had a Gen I Raptor. After the Ringy Dingy Gen II motor nope. Mine also had a lot more problems than my TRX has had after the same amount of miles. At the time the Gen I Raptor was a SVT vehicle which the Gen II it was just a production option. Also notice the multi leaf rear springs---made a huge difference.

This was my progression. Loved them all...2017 Raptor a little less than the other two.

My friend, Brian Helble, Sales Manager at the largest Ram dealership in US, Hunter Dodge, has a hydro blue TRX for sale right now at MSRP. The original guy who ordered just cancelled 10 minutes ago.

I also have a loaded 20 Raptor that I love but am strongly thinking of making the jump. Anyone else have any comparisons between the two?

There is none to speak of---super car motor vs ringy dingy motor is at the heart of it.

I have had a 2012 Raptor, 2014 Rousch SC Raptor, and a 18 Raptor. I liked everything about the 18 except the motor. "Whisper quiet" is not what I want to drive. Sold my Raptor a few weeks ago for about what I paid for it in 2018(!) and took delivery for my Level 2 TRX and LOVE it so far.

I considered the Gen3 Raptor. I wanted the 37 Package which gives you the 37" tires and upgraded FOX Shocks. They call it the performance package. The problem I and many others found is that with that package, you MUST take the Recaro Seats and the pretty much completely Blue Interior. I just couldnt see having a Blue interior in my truck. I loved my 2020 Raptor but I'm pretty sure I will love the TRX more:)

Heck I even considered a 2019-20 Tesla Model S Performance. Zero to 60 in 2.4 and the Qtr in 11's. All without making a sound- now how fun can that be. Go fast with no sound:mad:.

I cant wait to get back to that v8 Rumble.

After owning a 2013 Raptor and a 2019, I can tell you that I do not like twin turbo V6 motors. The '13 was a great truck and I traded it with 97k miles for the Ecoturd! I just ordered a TRX last Friday and can't wait to get rid of the Raptor and get into a Supercharged V8!

I completely agree about Fords decision with the 37 pkg... But be careful with complaining about the blue interior over on FRF, I got hammered and nearly thrown off (well, probably not removed) but hammered!!! for supporting the TRX and Ridiculing Mr. And Mrs. Smurf who designed the 37 package interior... lol

I too can't wait for my rumbling 702/650...

And BTW... When I search for an American Flag in the emoji's,there is no such thing anymore. Any mods know why??
