Guys with trucks already delivered, what kind of floor mats does the truck come with? I want to get some Weathertech mats but I wasn't sure if it already came with rubber mats.

It does haven't received my truck yet, but have seen pics and vids showing the floor mats. They are nice rubber mats with RAM logos.
Ram Logo is either Grey or red depending on the RED ACCENT option. Full mat across the back seat.

here is a pic, or if you watch

@Rockman has some good views inside in the middle of this video of the front and back seat and you can see the mats in there as well.

Mine came with really nice custom molded mats already installed, front and back. They are RAM branded as far as I can tell, but they are as good as any Weathertechs I've seen. The front two also lock in place. I'm not sure how you could get a better fit to be honest, but maybe you're looking for a higher lip around the edge? The ones in my truck have tread .50-.75" deep, which should be plenty to catch all the melted snow and mud from dirty boots. The tread texture actually feels pretty nice, and they've held up well sliding random heavy stuff in and out of the back when I fold the seats up.

They look nice in the photo VA-TREX posted. Looks like they also have fasteners so they don’t slide forward.

the mats that come with it are amazing. now if i can keep my kids to keep there shoes on the mats instead of the back of the seat i would be gravy lol

Don't waste your money on weather tech or husky, the stock ones are better! Sorry about the mess, welcome to Minnesota.

Agree with @VA-TREX - I'm a huge WT fan, and the molded rubber mats with Ram logo are just as great and included. I'd hold off until you re-evaluate for yourself. Hope you get your TRX soon!

What about nice carpet mats? The all weather mats look terrible with just a little dust. Some/most of us drive these things are paved surfaces 90% of the time

I got a fix for you. Make them wear shoe covers. Not only will the seats remain clean but so will the floor mats. Winner winner chicken dinner!

I'm just installing the floor mats in my girl now! She is such a beauty! When you guys cut the holes in the back mats to fit around the storage bin hooks did you cut from behind the mat or from the top of the mat? Any suggestions on how to make a clean cut? Last time I did this on a Husky mat to fit around my sub woofer the edges came out all sharp and crooked. Any suggestions appreciated!

The factory mats? They shouldn’t require any trimming.

Hey RobR651, Yes Factory mats! The mats for the back seats It says to cut out the the 2 square indents on each side that goes over where the hooks are on the storage bin areas on each side! I guess so you can access the hooks.

Which leads to my next question? What are those hooks for? Will I ever use them? Should I not cut that area out and just let it cover the hooks?

Does Anyone have a picture of the Factory floor mats with the cut out for the storage bin hooks?

LOL - I guess I just learned something new about the truck.

The hooks fold flat so you don’t have to cut them. If you plan on using them there’s a scissor picture on the back side of the floor mat. Cut out the area marked. They’re tie downs for cargo I’d assume. I have no intention of using them so cutting them isn’t “required”. It kind of defeats the purpose of having an all weather floor mat if you cut holes in it so water and muck can drain underneath the mat.

Yes I agree! Another Thank God for the Forum moment! I probably would have cut them because it told me to on the instructions even though my gut said this is not right! Thanks Again guys!

If you ever do, I cut mine too down with a box cutter, nice and straight. I needed to cut mine to use the tie down hooks. There’s a raised edge to keep the mats water proof. Even if anything goes through the hole, it falls onto a plastic box. Carpet still protected.
