After some back and forth, my dealer agreed to go through the "List" and inspect my TRX, so long as I paid for the inspection ($290). Today, I had my mechanic do the same. He reported:
* None of the bolts had any markings from a torque wrench - nothing had been touched.
* The fill plug on the transfer case had never been tightened - he unscrewed it by hand. The thread locker/sealant had never even been disturbed.
*The front diff fluid was 1/2" below fill line. He had to add 16 oz.
*Differential strut that is in pics had bolts that were so loose he could unscrew by hand. He said they looked tight visually, but they were not.
So, it would appear my dealer (Dallas Dodge) took my $290 and didn't do what I paid for, even though they said they did. So glad to have caught front diff and strut issue. Hope your dealer experience is better, but make sure wrenches go on those bolts and fluid levels are checked.
