A few BMWs
Just got word from my dealer that I have a ship date of 1-15 so it should land here in CA beginning of Feb!!!!
I'm very excited for this but gotta admit that I have been thinking about waiting for a 2022 after reading all the posts.

Does anyone know if there are any confirmed changes for 22 feature wise? I've gone with a black truck and i don't think any color options would make me reconsider.. except maybe F8 or delmonico..

What are your honest thoughts, folks?

Congrats! You seem to like acquiring a few cars from the same brand.... you should just start that trend with the TRX and just get a 22 to add to the stable.... lol and then a 23............ Cheers!

I've heard Uconnect 5 and more colors for 2022 but neither has been confirmed by former FCA now Stellantis.....But also the peugeot CEO was very upfront with making it very clear that any models that aren't profitable will get shit canned, not saying the TRX won't be profitable but there is a chance with the merger that things that were being planned for under FCA do a 180 under stellantis with the new influences so waiting if you have a truck that actually has a build date might not be a risk worth taking for a color

Supposed to be coming baring any unforeseen delays.

Ignition Orange is still technically confirmed for 2021 Late Availability on FCA website. And then they teased us with "Holiday Green" in a promo that aired around Christmas with "Ask Santa for next year." In Q2 we will know a lot of information.

Swapping out the Uconnect isn't a hard activity too if the upgrade would be "worth it". I was so disappointed that FCA didn't release the Apple Car Play functionality for my current 17 Ram (like I was promised) that I swapped it out. This swap out will be more expensive considering the screen size but I wouldn't be shy about doing that again if I wanted it bad enough.

Uconnect 5 i think thats something worth waiting for.....

Let's just say it was an interesting time lol.. I like shiny toys! If leasing was a thing with trucks, I would have no issues swapping every 2-3 years and so I'm hoping theres some "intrinsic" value to these 21s being limited and therefore more rare

I think these trucks will definitely be profitable from a sales aspect but 10 mpg isn't helping anyone's numbers as far as emissions and the potential fines that come with. Great points, thank you!

I've had two trucks with the 12" and rather like it but the extra tech really isn't all that worth it for me. My only gripe was the processor in the head unit being almost comically slow at start up. New and snappier graphics are all they need IMO. I almost never used the 360L as I'm more of a podcast/apple music person myself. But you're right, I think we'll get a ton of info shortly after a bunch of us take delivery and that's the scary part!

Honestly, I think just UC5 and a potentially new screen. If there are significant improvements in the speed of the infotainment and or a new physical display then I would look at mine with a slightly smaller smile

I wouldnt give up all the fun that you’d have to wait for changes, there will always be changes. You wait for a 2022 and then hear about a 2023 Demon powered TRX, you wait for the 2023 Demon TRX & then hear there will be a 2024 refresh, with vehicles it always goes on like that ad nauseam.

Yet another good point. I agree. I would rather take this 21 and if/when the redeye version hits I'll swap for that.

One of the you tubers timed how long it took for performance pages to load.... over 30 seconds thats pretty sad. If i didnt have an le i would wait a few months for the 22’s with uc5.

the uconnect 5 on the Hellcat Durango takes something like 28 seconds and the uconnect 4 takes 32 seconds on the TRX to load performance pages.......Performance pages pull a ton of real time data from the engine and transmission and the first time you load them it just takes a long time. Other than performance pages both seem very snappy and responsive from what I've seen. The only real benefit I have seen from 5 vs 4 is the wireless apple carplay and android auto if that is something you use often, but I personally don't plug my phone into the port that connects it to android auto when I charge it in my truck because I don't like android auto so I would just turn off the wireless android auto if it came with the truck.

Tomorrow is not promised... I say enjoy it now.. If its something you want later on.. Do it then.. To me crazy to wait for a faster uconnect. But that's just me.. I know we all prefer different things...
