Here's my take for what it's worth.

Fords are aluminum, which means they are very loud sounding when you drive them because they're thin.
The TRX is heavy yes, but solid, and quiet on the road compared to the Raptor. Yes I know what I'm talking about.
Now the R is certainly a beast, but so is the TRX.
So if you want to drive around in a truck that has Beast qualities, (but is plasticy and noisy) the R will do that.
But if you want to drive around in a beast that's quiet and has a Mercedes style interior compared to a ford, well, then you know what you should do!
But as others have said you could buy the R for sticker, beat the hell out of it and then sell it to somebody else who likes plastic noisy vehicles, and buy a TRX, and own and enjoy the sound of a true Hemi Beast...

ps... I would wager good money that now that we have a president and not a pussy, we will see a new TRX by 2026, with somewhere around $800 HP... it's going to be a wild ride, yeah baby!
