I was wondering if any of you got an extended warranty with your TRX? Mine is due in March and curious what the current/future owners are doing/planning.

if you did get an extended warranty, what did it cost and how long is it good for?

I'm glad you posted this as I was going to.

I typically buy extended warranties as the cars I purchase tend to be pricey. I asked my dealer about it for the TRX I ordered. Here are the quotes I received:

6 year 60,000 bumper to bumper for $2K
7 year 60,000 for $2,100
8 year, 75,000 for $2,200

Priced like a regular 1500.

I will probably do it as those don't seem all that bad, and the factory warranty is kinda crappy.

The first year I'll probably put in 15,000 miles (driving it from Wisconsin to Seattle so that's 1500 miles right there). After that probably less than 10K/year (my 2012 2500 only has 67,000 miles and I bought it in 2011). I ride my motorcycles mostly during the summer (even to work in downtown Seattle).

Also a new model so there are gonna be a lot of gremlins IMHO.

My only concern is how the warranty handles certain mods. I bought extended for my 2500 but I didn't mod it (other than speaker upgrade). Curious if people have experience with how dealerships deal with mods and warranties. RAM installs than all good? (that's how Harley is generally).

any chance a dealer in the usa can get me warranty in canada?

Was that through RAM or an aftermarket warrant?

At those prices, I'd buy. Seems reasonable for a truck they dare you to jump. I wonder if there are warranty limitations on jumping the truck

I'm waiting for this. He has Covid so we have to wait until he is better to get some info

The extended warranties I've got in the past I purchased at the the dealer I got the v vehicle from. Can I pick up the truck without the warranty and purchase it from someone else by paying cash or credit card?

I believe, based on what others have said, that an extended warranty can be purchased down the line sometime from whomever you choose. Gives you time to shop around...
