Dusterhoff 937 flex fuel vs. local shops

I would stay away from the bap as well if you ever go that route. They are a bandaid and reduce the life of the pumps. Just go with a full return style fore setup.
What is life expectancy on BAP with factory pumps? I know heat plays a big role in premature failure. Asking more out of curiosity than anything.

Not a clue. But I burned out a stock pump without a BAP so I doubt there is a huge amount of margin. I’m sure climate plays an impact though and I live in Phx.

Did you go with another OEM or go full triple?
Another OEM. Seems like plenty of fuel for the current setup and did not want to deal with the pickup limitations in the tank with the Fore setup. I have run a triple Fore return style setup before but the hat was better integrated.

So I wanted to tune with DT's but worried about the remote assistance in the event of issues, so I tuned it locally with a shop recommended by some hellcat owners I know. Guys were awesome and have been very responsive, no issues truck runs great.

Did 2.85 Litens upper, 1050cc injectors, thermo, trans + engine tune.

Truck gained 120hp roughly now 707 whp. I know dynos vary and arent perfect but I gotta say it feels like a completely different ride...so much more responsive and man it is so much more fun driving it now. Can't immagine you folks running E85 and getting close to 1000hp.

Awesome! Is it flex setup?

Just got my done With DT937 flex tune, very happy with the outcome and easy to install
Nice, i like Dusterhoff makes good power and he is very conscious of how to tune not to blow the motor and have safety written measures written into his tunes. You currently running E85 or 93?

Truck is tuned for 91/e85 flex fuel. But currently on e85
truck feels really good, I did my research before going with DTracing

Currently in the tuning process with DTRacing on the 937 Flex kit.
Has anyone else had disappointing comms with their tuners? 0-1 response per day.
Still on the initial base tune over a week later.

The sales team has been great with knowledge and responsiveness.

Did you schedule a tuning session or just getting it done thru email? I did email as I only drive the truck on weekends so barely enough time to log. Their response time thru email was about once a week

Tuning is through email.
Their Sales team told me scheduling tune dates is for dyno or for customers with limited availability.
I drive the truck every day and can log anytime of the day to send them what's needed.

Maybe I should just get on their tuning schedule but was under the impression the way they moved forward was the quickest way to get things handled.

Nothing bad to say about the DTRacing team, just expected better comms during tuning.

Not sure how busy they are right now but when I had mine tuned with them, I would get an email everyday around 1pm and when I got home I'd load that file and do log. I'd email log back that night and repeat next day. This continued for about a week for 93 tuning then several weeks on E85 tuning as I had trouble getting the E content up having to run several tanks through and fill again.

Ditto on my experience with Curt.

At least I know the responsiveness is typical now, thank you guys!

Got word from the tuner to do the first multi gear pull and after reviewing the log he said the tune "looks good".
Now we are waiting on HPTuners to fix the flex fuel patch to switch to E85.

I am still on the initial 93 base tune that has had zero adjustments.

Truck feels like it has less low end power that stock but hoping some timing can be added to bring the power back and I would hope gain low end power over stock.
Also having a rough possibly lean hot start that takes about 10 seconds to smooth out.

Have you guys had similar results?

Only thing outside of their 937 kit that I am running is the FI 1" blower spacer.

Work with them on the startup conditions. They respond well to providing feedback and working through any hiccups.

As far as power goes, the pump gas tune is going to make some more power up top over the stock setup but down low the change is minimal in anything other than cold air IMO. Remember, the stock map pulls tons of timing as it is in hot weather. Add more boost and you pull more timing.

E85 is where you will notice the difference in power, especially being in a warm climate. Wait until some 60 deg days and you will see the difference more.

Thank you for the great info!

Makes sense that pump gas could detonate with too much timing at the lower rpm with 14psi. I just expected the initial base tune would have limited timing for safety during the first few runs and then it would be increased based on what the truck actually wants.

Temps have been mid 70’s with 100-115 IAT.
