I just returned from a trip and parked the truck where I normally do. However, when I try to check the status of things on the Drone App now, I keep getting the following message: "Error. The device does not respond. Please check if the device is online".

The internet connection where I am is good, and the car is parked exactly where I have been parking it for the past year. I used to be able to check the app and see the status of the truck. Not now though. Any ideas on what might be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

Also, my truck is parked in an offsite location so I can't just physically go check on it easily, so that's why I need the app working correctly.

Have you tried any of these?

I'd reach out to them if all else fails.

My cell/internet connection where I am is strong. And the truck is parked where it has been for the last year. So it can't be either of those things. Thanks, I'll give them a call and see what's up.

Happens to me periodically. It should self-resolve.

That's good to hear. Hopefully it will. But it has been going on for over a day now and it's pretty annoying.

Can you access the module?

"Every DroneMobile Module also has LEDs to indicate whether the device is powered on and connected to the internet. If either of these LEDs are not flashing, then we recommend disconnecting the module from power and reconnecting to power-cycle the device. If you do not know where the DroneMobile Module is installed in your vehicle, we advise visiting your original place of installation to conduct this troubleshooting step."

My 3 weren’t connecting yesterday but did this morning. Probably a system update.

The truck is parked about 60 miles away from me right now, and I don't know where the module was installed anyway. I didn't know that about the LED, so thanks, I'll keep that in mind if the system doesn't "reset" soon.

Hopefully ,although mine is still down.

Drone still isn't connecting today. 3 days now. Their support dept told me to cycle between "On" and "Off" on the Push to Start button 4 times w/in 10 seconds and that should reset the device. If that doesn't work, they said to disconnect the drone box for a couple of minutes and then plug it back in.

If that doesn't work, they said to take it back to the installer.

The problem is, the truck is parked over 60 miles away right now so I can't do either option.

I guess as long as IGLA is still working it's not that critical that Drone isn't, but it's still annoying.

So I went to check on the truck today but the igla fob showed no power. Strange because I had charged it only a week or so ago. Anyway, I then used the regular fob to open the truck. When I did though, the alarms went off and lights flashed. I used the regular fob to shut off the alarm, but I wasn't able to start the truck by using the IGLA code. My question is, will the IGLA code not work if the IGLA fob is out of power?

I never use IGLA fob. Both of mine actually are in my house safe with no batteries in them.. IGLA should work without those.

Sounds like my IGLA is messed up then. When I got in the truck, the push to start button didn't light up either during or after the alarms were going off. So I couldn't even try to punch in the code. I guess the next step is to just recharge the IGLA fob and see if that fixes it. 🤷‍♂️

You left your truck for awhile, how is the battery? Is it the stock battery? Maybe enough battery for the alarm and unlocking doors but not good for starting. That would also be my thought.

You are confusing the 2. IGLA fob can’t be charged. Its a small proximity fob that takes a cr2032 battery. IGLA code will work fine if your compustar alarm went off. 2 different systems

You probably have compustar secure push to start and no, your push to start will not turn on unless you press unlock on the COMPUSTAR remote or the drone app. 2 different systems. Then you can press the start button 2 times and enter your pin

I have a tender on it so it should be good. Stock battery - at least I haven't changed it.

Ah, you're right. It's the Compustar fob that wasn't charged. Igla still didn't work though. The push start button never light up to try the IGLA code.

ok, that sounds like the problem. IGLA never came on because the Compustar fob was dead. Thank you.

Make sure your truck battery isn't dead/dying. We all know the TRX battery's start to drain after a few weeks, especially when you've got the drone hooked up pulling from the battery.

Thanks. Last reading on drone about 1/2 before it went out says the battery was at 12.8v. I had no problem starting it in the cold the entire 2 week snow trip either. That and it was on a tender for the day or so before I checked drone again and noticed it wasn't working. Hopefully it's something as simple as the compustar fob being dead, or maybe the truck battery dying. Any other option seems more complicated to fix.
