I saw this on Facebook last week and nothing has been posted here. It looks like they will replace your driveshaft if your TRX was manufactured prior to Sept. 27 2022 or if your vehicle exhibits symptoms of the clunk.
Is this a new revised driveshaft or is is the same replacement they have been using all along?

I think there's a few people on here that have had the driveshaft replaced under warranty and have mentioned the clunk came back. I had the boot and grease "fix" done over a year ago and my clunk came back in May. There's an aftermarket driveshaft thst apparently fixes the clunk permanently but it hasn't been out long so I'm waiting for some long term feedback from some members here who have it before I jump to buying one.

I had the driveshaft replaced a while back and the clunk came back. About a year ago I had the fancy lube job done, and the clunk is just starting to come back.

For me it’s all about documentation. If there is an updated driveshaft that they will replace under warranty (or this TSB) I’ll do it just do document the issue and cover myself from future problems.

Is there a Ram TSB website where we can actually print a copy of this off versus a Facebook screen shot?

My drive shaft was replaced last year on my 21. The clunk is now back again.

Good idea! I'd like to print it out and take it with me in the next week or 2 when I go for an oil change.

Mine has 42K on it so I'm hoping they will warranty it. Service Clunk has been going on for years now. I've had the grease kit installed twice now. Only last a few months and it comes back. Called dealer and have an apt Friday for them to look at part # and hear clunk to order driveshaft. 🤞

I have a new in box grease kit I was going to install before I seen this. Worst case I can use it if it comes back like I hear it can.

Thanks @Jrlottjr for posting this.

I was able to get mine replaced under warranty at 30k miles after getting it greased previously(lasted about 200 miles). Hoping the new one lasts longer because that is super annoying!

Strange I guess, but I've never heard the clunk on either of my TRX's...... Well so far anyway.

Was the replacement a new part a revised part number, or the same as original?

thanks

.

I never heard it but I felt it at every stop light when I’d let off the brake and accelerate. I never had it when I stopped though. I’d also sometimes feel it when I was at highway speeds and I’d accelerate fast to pass someone.

Had driveshaft replaced last year. Clunk came back once we had our first 100 deg day. Just did a grease job at home with a new lube…lots of the ford guys seem to like this lube (pun intended) on their slip yoke. We will see how it holds up.

I have an early 2022- I had the grease fix which lasted a few weeks, then a new driveshaft ending in AE (sometime last year) which lasted a few weeks, then the grease fix again about 4 or 5 months ago which lasted a few weeks, all under warranty.

This is a BRAND NEW TSB that just came out a few weeks ago with a new shaft ending in AF so I'm cautiously optimistic. I've already got an appt on the books once it comes in to have it replaced. Will it fix it for good? I doubt it, but if Ram is going to keep trying to fix it for me for free, I'm going to let them. I'll reply back once I get it on and I've went a solid month or so with no clunk 🤞. Longest fix for me has been about 2 weeks so anything longer than that here may get my spirits lifted...

Loving my East Coast driveline.. I'm not quite used to it NOT clunking yet.
I'm guessing I would have spent $1300 in gas driving it to the retarded monkeys 20 times anyway, if I let them dick with it.

Hope it stays this way for the long haul!

How many miles do you have on EC driveline?

I’ve got over 10,000 miles in my EC no issues.

With that being said I took my stock one off my 2023 and never had issues with it either.

I just brought my truck in this morning for the 3rd time. Fingers crossed they have some sort of solution for this but I really doubt it after reading everyone's comments. Would anyone know if the factory warranty would be affected if the driveshaft was replaced with a non OEM unit? I'm not sure how many more times I want to keep bringing it back to the dealership with no real resolution to the problem.

The answer depends on whether driveshaft #53011135AF has any real improvements over # 53011135AE. Seems like there is a chance as the TSB overrides the previous "re-grease and send on your way" ....
