Has anyone successfully placed a deposit on a TRX with their dealer?

Can’t until the ordering system is open. Also, you don’t need a deposit. Depending on how Ram will launch the first run, you may need to register on a website and get an invite by a dealer to take your order. That is how it worked for my Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition.

I've tried and they refused to take my $$ but have me to call as soon as the ordering system opens up apparently. I guess we will see how all that goes....

You might wait to see what dealers are dealing when this launches. I use a dealer in Nampa, ID. and pay 7-8% below factory invoice. Other dealers on the east coast have similar programs. When I get my pricing I will share with the forum.

I’m always interested in a deal. Got my JL Rubicon ordered when they first came out at 10% below invoice out on east coast. Trackhawk I got for invoice on day one of order banks opening.
If 8-10% below invoice is an option on the TRX sign me up.

I have a feeling that the first run are all going to be sold before they hit the dealer. Not officially, but via the "good old boy" sales process. I know of three guys here that will get first call on the truck and they are all ready to drop the funds. The nice thing about that for me is two of them will trade it in later. I will have access to a low mileage all bugs worked out vehicle for a lower cost.

I think the production run of these is going to be around 20-25k a year (or so I read) which is way higher than many other sought after cars. So they should be fairly available overall and like the Raptor. hopefully :)

I’m interested in a deal around invoice. Willing to travel live in Wa state.

Unless they open up the TRX to affiliate pricing next year, not going to find it anytime soon.

My dealer took a deposit and agreed on $2K off MSRP. The last three of my VIN are 588, so I hope everything works out with all the delays we are all incurring.

I went to my dealer yesterday and they said they only got one allocation which is already spoken for, but if I give them a deposit (2,500) they can easily get another order filled at MSRP.

I said what assurances do you have that Dodge will even take the order if your dealership only has 1 allocation and the guy replied they will fill it is just might be another 8-10 weeks to fill it. I feel like this guy doesn't actually know that Dodge would accept the order and my deposit will be locked up for 6+ months.

What do you guys think, I should try to find another dealer or risk it? I'm in northern Westchester (NY) if anyone knows any reputable dodge dealers in the area.

My opinion is hard to trust anyone in ralations with FCA! Dealer wants your money, needs your money but the way FCA has handled these productions of the TRX and communications regarding the delays it would be hard to trust a dealer that knows just as little as we do. But at the end of the day $2500 is chump change if you truly want this truck as we all do.
