Has anyone successfully placed a deposit on a TRX with their dealer?
I’m always interested in a deal. Got my JL Rubicon ordered when they first came out at 10% below invoice out on east coast. Trackhawk I got for invoice on day one of order banks opening. You might wait to see what dealers are dealing when this launches. I use a dealer in Nampa, ID. and pay 7-8% below factory invoice. Other dealers on the east coast have similar programs. When I get my pricing I will share with the forum.
My dealer took a deposit and agreed on $2K off MSRP. The last three of my VIN are 588, so I hope everything works out with all the delays we are all incurring.Has anyone successfully placed a deposit on a TRX with their dealer?
HarI went to my dealer yesterday and they said they only got one allocation which is already spoken for, but if I give them a deposit (2,500) they can easily get another order filled at MSRP.
I said what assurances do you have that Dodge will even take the order if your dealership only has 1 allocation and the guy replied they will fill it is just might be another 8-10 weeks to fill it. I feel like this guy doesn't actually know that Dodge would accept the order and my deposit will be locked up for 6+ months.
What do you guys think, I should try to find another dealer or risk it? I'm in northern Westchester (NY) if anyone knows any reputable dodge dealers in the area.
My opinion is hard to trust anyone in ralations with FCA! Dealer wants your money, needs your money but the way FCA has handled these productions of the TRX and communications regarding the delays it would be hard to trust a dealer that knows just as little as we do. But at the end of the day $2500 is chump change if you truly want this truck as we all do.I went to my dealer yesterday and they said they only got one allocation which is already spoken for, but if I give them a deposit (2,500) they can easily get another order filled at MSRP.
