Be forewarned: if you don’t want to read a whiney thought to Ram..move on to the next thread! I need to vent.

Dear Ram: I can only hope that you do in fact read these forums and actually care. I know my truck is coming soon, but I can’t just NOT say something about your ordering process. Seems you forget who puts the money in your pockets. It’s not the dealers, it’s YOUR CUSTOMERS! While I will enjoy my TRX with a big fat smile on my face if it ever gets built, your loyalty to the dealerships instead of YOUR CUSTOMERS has pushed me over the edge. When someone can take the time, effort, and money to get first on your list and after nearly 6 months their truck STILL isn’t built, yet someone can order 4 months later and be built almost instantly, you showed your cards. How about all the dealers with dealer stock I see now? Yet here myself and many others sit with no truck. Why the hell should I have even ordered? After 24 FCA vehicles in 12 years to the tune of $1m pumped out of my pocket along the way I’d say my loyalty has been proven. Where’s yours? It’s obviously with the dealers. I don’t care about your contracts with your dealers. How about a contract with YOUR CUSTOMERS? This rant is not about pandemics and parts shortages either. We all get that. This is about your blatant disregard for those of us who ordered early in good faith thinking early bird gets the worm.

Also, from all of us, no matter when we ordered, sticking your head in the sand and telling YOUR CUSTOMERS to talk to their selling dealer when YOUR CUSTOMERS just want some communication/information from YOU doesn’t cut it. It’s unacceptable. We still see YOU no matter how far down you stick your head. Your actions are noted. Then...you don’t tell the dealers anything either which makes hearing Sarah tells us “Contact your selling dealer” a moot point. Not that most of your dealers are really knowledgeable. While some might be, experience in owning 24 of your vehicles in recent times tells me most are not and when you keep them in the dark too, it makes for even less COMMUNICATION.

You see the common words in this thread? Maybe it’s time for you to re-evaluate your priorities. Maybe it’s time for a change and modernization of the ordering process. There are a whole bunch of us IT guys that would be more than happy to help you modernize the ordering process but it seems very low on your priority list. I (we) LOVE what you guys build and I’m thankful for you building all this good stuff for me to enjoy, but man...you guys got to me on this one. I’m not enjoying myself at this moment. Your ordering process is horrible for YOUR CUSTOMERS. Enough to where I am seriously doubting I ever want to go through it again and seeing how ordering appears to be pointless, why should I? You took an exciting situation and turned it into a memorable negative experience. I’m sure I’ll love the truck if it ever gets here but your ordering process will not be forgotten by me or the many others you put through the same experience.

Don’t expect me to be loyal to you after you showed me who you are loyal to. If I never order from you again, I hope you remember this post and those that follow. Better yet I hope you read this post and agree your ordering process is horrible and it’s time to change it. Please don’t ever preach customers first until you intend on making it a practice. And if you can’t preach customers first, isn’t your whole model flawed from the start?

rant over - where’s my truck?

If you are wondering what all I bought in the last 12 years:
1 Viper
3 Regular SRT Challengers

1 Demon
2 Challenger RT’S
4 Ram 1500’s
1 Ram 2500
5 Scat Packs
1 Chrysler 200
1 Jeep Wrangler
1 Jeep Patriot
1 V6 Charger

I couldn’t have said that any better. Thanks for sharing what I am sure most of us have been feeling these past many months. This has been one of the most unusual and frustrating purchasing experiences of my life. The whole thing is quite mind boggling. And may I also echo... Where‘s my Truck???

I'll pile on here (whine/inform depending on who you are) -

@RamCares sucks. They have still not contacted me (actually called me - not sending me a BS form email).

Yes I have my truck, yes I love what it is, but I need to speak to someone about some form of engine protection after the lack of proper oil cooler line installation.

I stand with you and this statement. I couldn't agree with it more. This is my first new car buying experience and it has not been a pleasant one. I now understand why people pay out the ass for luxury foreign cars which is what I will be doing next. The fact of shelling out 98k for a truck gets you a awful buying experience with lack of communication and worst of all, seeing people and dealers get their trucks when they order weeks or months after me has me over the edge.. At this point, I refuse to cancel just so I can give my honest feedback on the survey at the end as well as let them know this is the first and last time I will be ordering from FCA.
For the record- ordered 8/20 #816. Still in D1 according to dealer

Very well said and exactly what many us are thinking. Right there with you, having bought from them for over 40 years. I too wonder why I bothered to order in the first week and watch all the later orders being built and shipped. By the way, not whiney at all... totally on point! So how about it @ Ram Cares maybe you can provide a better answer to this one than the answer you gave me when I said virtually the same thing in a private message to you?!?!

@Cerino2000 you said a mouthful!
Couldn't agree more...I ordered 8-19 thinking I'd be one of the first to get the TRX (in my area at least) the sales manager at my dealership said mine would be the first one arriving at their lot...I just happened to check their inventory this morning and see they have one in transit.
I've gotten correspondence from FCA twice (didn't really say much) and have only heard from the dealership once!!
Next time, if there IS a next time, I will just wait and buy off the lot.
I won't put myself through this again!!

Cerino2000...... Amen. Well said. I am agreed with you 100% Both of us and more people are in the same boat living this nightmare!!

A few years ago (not too many) I ordered a BMW under the European Delivery Program. All the process was so smooth so I was impressed. The date and time (hours and minutes) when they informed me that the car was going to be delivered were so exact like a chronometer. I was at BMW headquarters in Munich, Germany where they deliver 150 cars daily to people from all over the world. They make feel you so important even though I was purchasing a car half of the price of the TRX. 15 days later I delivered the car in Vienna, Austria to be transported to the dealer here in USA. Again the service was outstanding!! That is called GOOD SERVICE!! NOW: I am terribly disappointed with FCA service!!

Why you gotta be so harsh?

You taking a new approach Bambi
Kill them with kindness?

RIGHT ON !
FCA don't give 2 shits about the customer. They prove it every day that the first to order builds are not being built.
As far as I'm concerned they can blow me. Been fucked over 3 times by them now.

Don't get me started on the dealers .

I’m not opposed to smothering/suffocating hugs while whispering “shhhhhh, it’s ok”

Just hit up the chat to see if there was any update. Idk why I even try. Got the same copy/paste response to 3 different questions. I'm convinced no real humans work there.
