You can bet whoever sold it was like “I told you if I held out long enough I could sell it for a premium!!!”

I remember seeing a few brand new vipers at the dealer about 4-5 years ago when I would take my RAM in for service. I believe they had $10,000 - $15,000 discounts on them and they still couldn't sell them. As soon as Dodge announced they would no longer make the Viper, prices shot up like a rocket.

In 2018 I called a couple dealers that had 2017s in stock and they were reasonable on pricing. A couple wanted over MSRP and a couple were under. I started to get serious and was close to pulling the trigger at 5k under on a red GTS out of San Diego. The dealers were a pleasure to communicate with. I decided to buy a 2018 GT3. But someday I want to own and trip across the country in a Viper!
