Covers

How do you even take it off/ put it on without getting ground debris on the cover? And storing a cover big enough for one of these trucks when not on the truck has to be a challenge.
Correct, PITA but I've done it with my vintage Mopars. So difficult. And I can't tell you how many times a gust of wind came along and blew cover to ground. Also, antennas, Satellite radio fins, all this stuff either has to have a hole cutout or something covering them because they will tear hole in cover in no time!

Noooope! Sounds like something that is far beyond my skill set. First mishap and id be looking for a contractors bag to carry it to the free room at the dump. I do have windshield covers to keep frost off and sun from beating in on the dash, that tries my patience enough. I admire your determination! 👍

It isn’t hard to put on at all. Easier in fact than my normal cars as you hop in the bed and lay it on the roof first. And it doesn’t blow off if it’s secured. It’s keeping the sun from baking the paint and the birds from shitting on it. There are no antennas on this truck to tear anything. Never had a car cover rip on me. But I’m not buying $100 Walmart crap either. The shark fin isn’t sharp, come on. Cost me less than 500 which is lots cheaper than a PPF or ceramic coating that must be maintained and needs special care during washes.

It doesn't have to be something sharp. I've had four California Covers on different cars over the years. The wind getting underneath and movement will eventually wear a hole, come on. I don't buy walmart covers either. I have bought the almost $1000 California Covers always.

I am pro covers for vehicles parked outside. I am just stating my experiences and things to be aware of. I always park in shade because of the destructive UV rays.

Very valid points on scratches if the truck is dirty, especially if it's windy.

I have a cover on my golf cart and it's a hassle to just cover it.

By the looks of your neighborhood, you should be able to get it in the garage. Mine lived outside for about 9 months until I couldn't stand it anymore. After some serious rearranging the garage, moving my home gym and adjusting the garage door height, I am able to get my truck in with 1" to spare in length. When I had the stock bumpers, I had 1/2 in to spare.
Did you only modify the garage door or the garage door entrance?
Can you share how you modified your Garage Door entrance? i mean, did you have to call an architect to remodel and get that project approved? Also, do you have HOA? And how much will cost to open your garage door height?

For those of you who park your trucks outside of your homes in the elements, how many use covers?

I unfortunately won’t be able to get this thing on my garage and will have to park outside and don’t like the idea of no protection. Not going to build a carport.
I park in doors but I bought a California car cover custom made for the TRX.

Real question here is:
Which one won’t scratch your truck paint?

Often wondered about this one for those of us who get hail:

My neighbor bought an extended cab 2500, in spite of me guaranteeing it wouldn't fit in his garage... He thought the extended cab would be nice for his kids on long trips... His wife is barely 5 feet with heels..... Dude... your kids aren't going to need the leg room trust me.

I hate that fucking cover.... His wife is a sweetheart, So I get suckered into helping her take it off, and putting the POS back on once a month or so... when she drives it.

If you buy a $80k+ vehicle, and put a cover on it... Your priorities are fucked IMO, You were looking for a bigger house, with a bigger garage, but got side tracked at a car dealership. :ROFLMAO:
Seriously dude shut up, bigger house! Thats not how this shit works dude! This is $100,000 luxury truck with 700 HP! If you can afford it you buy it regardless of where you can keep it because it is $100,000 luxury truck with 702 HP! Go take your donepizil and go back to bed grandpa! Bigger house 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Ok Champ... Spend $100k on a truck... Make it possible by staying at a homeless shelter, and picking up your EBT card... You got this shit all figured out. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

What are you even talking about? Your on EBT? Damn I'm 😔 sorry!

Your reading comprehension sucks……I was giving my buddy shit, for getting an extended cab, after telling him it wouldn’t fit……

I could fit 3 TRX’s comfortably in my garage.

My garage is way to small I keep my motorcycle, lawnmower’s / snowblower’s, tools, crap like that in there. I ended up buying a 24x26 portable garage for my needs. Yes I would love to build a 60’x40’ shop garage and have everything under one building and secure but I don’t have the funds for that right now. So here are a couple pictures of my portable.
