Looking into alternative sidesteps from the factory options. Will side steps that fit the regular 1500 / 1500 rebel be compatible? has anyone found this answer or successfully installed an aftermarket option?

I know that at least one member instaled the Mopar retractable ones successfully.

I ordered the Mopar power boards as they are supposed to fit and integrate with the Uconnect system. I picked it up Monday, then dropped it off again yesterday as I will be out of town until Sunday. They’re undercoating/rust proofing and should have the boards installed by Sunday. When I get back I’ll post again to let everyone know how they work. I know there was another member on here who had them installed but they didn’t show up in the Uconnect system.

I believe that it finally did show up the next day.

Is the fit the same as the regular 1500 vs the TRX? If you get a fixed mount will the holes line up the same to bolt on?

If I modify anything on my LE (and it would be very little), I would like the retractable steps... going to have to look into them. :) I probably have a little time, as mine is lost in the parking lot sea of built TRXs...LOL!

Yeah that’s what I thought, plug and play basically. Thanks. One more thing did you get the uconnect4 issue resolved?

Let us know the final comments after the installation is done since I ordered the same one for my TRX. Thanks

I got them from my dealer. It was $1,900 installed, but they bought my stock Mopar boards back from me for $800 so a net of $1,100. Well worth it to me. The retractable one look WAY cleaner!
Jealous, iam working on that today. I really want them on there.

Are you able to activate/deactivate them from UConnect? When it snows, it would be great to be able to turn them off as sometimes these things get encased in snow/ice and won't move anway.
