"Whoa, that is awesome and I want that truck" is what I said to my wife after seeing the TRX prototype at the Texas state fair back in 2016.
At the time, I bought a 2017 Rebel figuring to parlay the Rebel to the TRX when/if the concept ever made it to production.
After the TRX youtube debut in August, I ordered... and now it is hard to believe that it has been 6 months and many of us are still without a truck or any information.
I was soooo excited for this truck, told many about it, and had a few referrals that also ordered. We religiously watched each new video and intro documentaries with excitement... Now? Total disappointment and I'm shifting from a strong brand ambassador to one of frustration.
While I am super happy for those that have their trucks (!), it is crazy for me to see orders from 2021/late 2020, or Canada, or Middle East be served first. I understand business and the politics of new markets and new products, but I also understand communication, follow-through, and fulfilling obligations. FCA/Stellantis/Ram clearly has a different set of values than what I am used to as a current RAM owner.
I can cut a loss quickly, as there are many new cool trucks and EV trucks that have the speed and capability coming soon (and hey... what's the big deal waiting 6 months for new vehicles, right FCA?).
What should have been a great experience has now become a disappointment. Great product... horrible experience.
