I found this article on the chip shortage posted at Moparinsiders.com

Seems like the 1500 Laramie trim level is losing the blind spot monitoring option and they’re giving customers a $200 deduction off of MSRP. There’s no mention of it affecting the TRX.

Let’s just hope the shortage does not slow down the TRX.

We have a few TRX shortages already, bead locks, carbon fiber, two tone black paint and something else.

@KnightMare has been talking about the chip shortage for awhile, as relaying to the sensor shortage, as relaying to 700 trucks parked at SHAP. But it seems that has been recently rectified. And there seems to be more trucks getting released.

I’m in the semiconductor industry and the backlog (wait for parts) is real. During the height of the “shutdown(s)” our customers were told to stock up. It will be interesting to learn over the next year who planned for success. . .

This is about 30 miles away from the Wentzville MO GM plant, where they build Canyon / Colorado trucks. There are HUNDREDS of these trucks sitting on this lot in front of a truck company (distribution center of some sort).

Whats weird.....these things just seem to have shown up overnight. I drive past here daily on my way to my shop - didn't notice them until 2 days ago.

From an article I read - "the automaker now intends to build some vehicles without certain modules and then complete them later: "When there is a shortage of semiconductors that impacts production, in some cases we intend to build vehicles without certain modules and will complete them as soon as possible," GM said in a statement.

GM already started to do this at its Wentzville, Missouri, plant where mid-size trucks and full-size vans are built, and at the Ramos Arizpe assembly plant in Mexico where the Equinox and Trax are built. "

if you read the whole article it doesn’t affect the trx at this time

Is this current? Are they holding up trucks for Beadlocks and carbon fiber? I hope not.
