I agreed to an adm of a few grand and was supposed to be delivered in late feb/early march. Letter I got says May.

with multiple msrp trucks floating around I gave the dealer the option of cancellation or removal of adm. They chose to cancel (which kinda blows my mind but whatever).

if anyone sees trucks about to be delivered or on lots at sticker or slightly above let me know. Otherwise I am just going to buy whatever peaks my interest soonest.

prefer blue, white and granite but open to other colors.

There was a While one listed on the forum yesterday around 10:12AM. Check that out.

I like the options on the red one more but prefer white. I’m gonna give my car broker a call. He can sometimes magic shit out at below sticker

I don’t blame you. F them for screwing around and that knife cuts both ways.

Cheers

Buddy of mine got his truck and I checked it out today and test drove it. Waiting is going to be worth is, truck was in perfect condition, not anomalies.
I don’t know, I think some of the early order guys have to be pretty salty about getting bypassed by both new orders and dealer stock orders that are not even sold. Looking the other way on that crap is like rewarding FCA for bad behavior. Once you reward them it becomes the norm.

I placed my original order (non LE) on 8/21. Mid January I was still BG with no VIN so took over a LE order that was in middle of build. The LE had a ship date of 1/24 but it’s still in JB status because of chip shortage. Received a call on Friday from original dealer saying my original order moved to D1 with an estimated ship date on 2/28. Now it’s a race to see which one arrives first and wins my hand! I’m on the fence of which one I actually want. My point is they seem to be catching up with early orders.
@Bambi I’ll be in touch
btw totally agree with your move telling them to shove it. That’s shit business practice. They should at least try to work with you. You’ll find another

Big companies and dealerships don’t care if you cancel an order because if you don’t buy it they know someone else will. So if someone really wants something it’ll be sold regardless. FCA isn’t learning any lessons by people cancelling any orders because someone else is just going to buy it. We aren’t dealing with a little mom and pop shop where 100 cancelled orders is going to put them out of business. There’s always going to be that person that happens to walk into a showroom out of the blue cause they were bored, sees a nice flashy car or truck there and buys because they want to not because they have to. I know I’ve done that many times 🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree...
But I have a long memory. My kid is experiencing this shit show too... friends/family/etc.
Who's to say what the long term ramifications will be.
I personally won't make the same mistake again.

I had my order in the first day for a LE and I’m paying over sticker.... So I am supposed to be salty I guess... It just doesn't serve any purpose.

Precisely.

It kinda doesn’t matter unless they see lots of cancellations. The only way to punish them is not to buy at all.

I canceled my order about a week ago MSRP tr2 blue...flower motors in Montrose CO should be at the dealer in about 7 weeks if you want to call and snag it...I’ll send you the salesman’s info if you would like

I’d be mad too if I was told a certain date and this much longer it’s not here but others are. I went into this knowing my current ram lease ends in April so I wasn’t in a rush but it’s understandable why others are pissed about the situation

Also have to wonder why a truck on the line may get a chip, but one sitting in the parking lot waiting continues to wait. Seems like some of that is going on. Not fair at all to those who have been waiting for weeks or so.

Just wanted to add a PS -
My nephew is in a huge truck club that covers at least NC & SC he and his friends were SUPER excited for a while (August, September, October, November, December...)!! Couldn't wait to go with me to pick it up.. GoPro's charged, etc. Hasn't even mentioned it for a while. Whether that has any impact on their future purchases remains to be seen.
If I had it to do over I would just wait for the dealer stock that was built before mine (which I was told wouldn't happen).
