After backing into the neighbor kid's car and speaking to several people about repairing or replacing my rear bumper, I decided to replace it with the ADD.

I spoke to several people trying to decide which model I wanted and Nick from 797 Performance seemed the most interested in helping me decide what I wanted to accomplish now and in the future. He also was very negotiable on pricing and shipping. I pulled the trigger on the Bomber yesterday and received the bumper this morning. I think Nick and I both hoped that I would go with the Pro and to me, it looks the best. My wife didn't like it at all and said it looked like the bumper on our Clay Pigeon cart and she was kind of right.

Since I will be going with a winch and ADD only make a kit compatible with the Stealth Fighter, it made alot of sense but my neighbor has it on his TRX so I wanted something a little different.

The install was pretty easy but took a long time because I had a million calls, emails and conference calls while I was doing the install. As many others have experienced, they included the wrong size bolts(3/8") but the right size nuts and(1/2") so I got to make an extra trip to the hardware store. Nick also offered to address this with ADD but I let him know it was no big deal.

All in all it was a fun and relaxing install and I really like it. It's nice to have a real bumper vs that 30lb piece of plastic crap with thin stamped brackets. I would not hesitate to go with the same manufacturer and the same performance shop again.

How’s that 37 fitting?
It's not...ughhh. I replied to your harness extension on a different thread. Why is the trailer plug 4 feet long on these trucks?

Worse case scenario, I will just run the reverse lights directly off an aux for now assuming that it will fit once I remove the Shifts and Grins Auto harness. Ultimately I want it to work automatically in reverse but I also want control it via Aux switch too. I will ask S&G if he can make me a low profile harness so I don't have to figure it out myself.

BTW, the instructions state it's a 2 person job but I did it all myself. I would highly recommend having a 2nd person, at least, when lifting the bumper in place since there is no longer studs to place the bumper on. You have to align and get the mounting bolts in while holding the bumper. I used my jump box to hold the bumper and some really long zip ties, threaded through the frame horns, and the bumper brackets, and slowly worked back and forth, moving the bumper in and tightening the zip ties until I could get first bolt on each side started. I think the risk for it falling and scratching the truck was in the 90 percentile.

I'm impressed you did it alone... I like to work by myself but had to recruit my kids to help hold the front bumper while I tried to get the ADD hardware through the frame holes... that was the front, but the first time I installed the bumper it was just the upper and no skid plate so similar to what you did with the rear I feel like.

I'm impressed you did it alone... I like to work by myself but had to recruit my kids to help hold the front bumper while I tried to get the ADD hardware through the frame holes... that was the front, but the first time I installed the bumper it was just the upper and no skid plate so similar to what you did with the rear I feel like.

I have taken off and put on my stock front bumper by myself but I don't think I will tackle the front ADD on by myself. I am waiting to see if my shop can figure out a way to make the Bomber Baja work with a winch before I do the front.

I have yet to find the mod that having an extra set of hands waiting in the wings wasn’t beneficial. Even if they are just drinking beers and acting as the peanut gallery for most of it, my 8yo has also proved invaluable even if it’s just to recover a washer I dropped and my fat fingers couldn’t retrieve it.

I only pulled off the rear. After I put it on, I told her that it looked stupid with different bumpers and if I was going to go through the beating of replacing the bumper, I might as well put a winch on at the same time.

I forgot to mention all the new lights but surely they came with the bumper.
