Black Front Skid Plate

Well, my wrong one is suppose to show up tomorrow lol. If it indeed is got plenty of time to send back for the right one I guess lol.

So imagine like this... that is the hole for drivers side tow hook, other half with passenger tow hook is covered in the plastic and in the box. Does look kinda weird, I’ll admit, I thought the front skid plate ran down lower, but there is another piece that I believe attaches to the bottom runs down past the oil pan (I think). I’ve seen a couple good shots of it in a few recent videos that cleared it up for me.

Yup, also doesn't seem wide enough, must go down below the cardboard base that we can see. I'm pissed that my part number also describe black and powder coated as I showed on page 2. Guess I will find out tomorrow for sure.

Yeah, the angle of that pic really throws it off too, I think. Interested to find out what color yours is too. Let us know when it comes in.

You could dip it I guess if it will match the rest of the textured plastic on the front clip. Painting it might work, but again color matching unpainted molded plastic is not easy. I ordered a spare one to give to my ppf guys to see if they have vinyl wrap that would work, but getting that to adhere to plastic might be tough.

I'll just experiment with it till I figure it out.

I used the plasti dip on the RAM grill on my powerwagon, It matched the rest of the grill perfectly. It has lasted for almost 4 years.

He is contacting dealer with his VIN to see how one buys the black plate....

Rumor is that all replacement plates come Silver and the dealer has them powder coated... like ordering a replacement bumper....will see....would be better if there is a separate part number for black....

Already confirmed...Rebel plate is same as TRX....

Yes I know I could pull my stock plate and have it coated....but the plates are relatively cheap and this way I will have a spare ready....

Raptor guys plasti dip or Line X theirs.......figure powder coat is the best option....

Caution, I don’t think they are the same. Someone may have given you bad information. The TRX has a completely different fram so things don’t line up the same as the other 1500. The engine is pushed forward and the rake of the truck is different.

Well as expected I got the silver one! : ( Given they don't make blue trucks guess I have plenty of time to straighten out. Just pissed the description says black, and will be arguing that point with them.

Not sure how long it takes on your end but I was given a 2 week wait time on it.

I took them to my guys at the body shop and just told them to paint it flat black. Not sure what they used.

Would be nice to change those letters to T R X instead...
