So the stock tires at 34,000 miles are about done. I really liked the BFG T/A KO2’s I had on the Raptor, but it looks like the KO3’s are the way of the BFG Future. Below are the specs for the KO3’s. My concern is the factor tire is a D Load while the KO3’s are a F Range. I’m worried the tires will ride like crap. Am I overthinking this, or are my concerns valid with the KO3’s?

If you can wait for about two years, you could get the D rated 35s for more money... 🤔

Crazy that they only offer F in that size. Don’t know how much stiffer 12 ply is over 8ply, but it would give me pause as well. If I had to buy new ones today, it would be the stockers or falken a/t4w. Same speed rating as the stock tires and same load range. And our KO2’s are noisy as hell on my wife’s Land Cruiser after 30k miles. And they get rotated religiously at 5k
Edit: Also doesn’t hurt that the falkens are $60 cheaper per tire.

Thats a pretty radical difference in toughness (and stiffness). Might be something I would be interested in going for since we’ve blown three tires in the last three trips but that’s only because we would run them at like 27-28 psi daily driving.

The team we chase with is a bfg group and the bfg rep was recommending the bfg hd tire. Can’t remember the name exactly but supposedly they last forever with nearly the same performance. They are a little heavier though.

The AT4W's look like a really good tire, but they are too heavy. 13lbs heavier than the Goodyear's.

I will buy another set of the Goodyear Territory AT tires unless someone comes out with a sub 65lb AT tire in the next couple of years.

Pretty sure we put the ko2s on the wife’s trx. Better in all ways over factory. Stock size

Have run both the BFG and Falcon, both were superior to the stock Goodyear, especially in winter conditions. I have heard from people running the newest versions that they are a significant improvement over the last gens. The Falcon is stiff, but a great tire for people that tow as well.

Falcon? 🙄

I have the KO2s on mine and love them over the OEM. Pretty much all I've ever run on trucks over the years. I've been eyeing the KO3s but I know their sizes are limited right now plus I'm giving it some time to see real-world feedback from more users.

If I can get the KO2’s when the time comes, I may go that route. I liked them on the Raptor a lot. The stock tires have performed well, but they are pretty loud, especially now that they are near the end of their life.

I put a set of KO3's on my boss' 4Runner and he loves them so far. I have always run BFG on my vehicles and will have to see what is available when these GY's wear out. Not a fan of the F load range though so it may have to be a different tire for sure.

Did you notice a performance difference for the AT$? I am having a set put on this week.

I'm with you on the weight. They say the extra weight is the extra tread they usually have vs the competition, but in my experience with AT3W tires on my previous truck and the wife's Jeep, they wear down to half tread after 6-12 months, and then the rest of it wears like iron. Great in the snow but not worth it, IMO. The stock Goodyears on these trucks are roughly equal in the snow from what I've driven, maybe only slightly worse.

Not quite stock size, but pretty darn close, General makes their ATX tires in 35x12.5. E rated, but 65 lbs. I'm eyeballing them when it comes time for mine to get replaced. They are supposedly a "true" 35, not a 34.6.

My other 3 vehicles have KO2's. No issues until they wear down to about 25% tread left. Then they are a bit slick. KO3s are supposed to be much better all around.

I was gonna get the K03 as long as they were not "load F and 80 lbs" Well unfortunately they nailed my criteria. looks like this is a tire made for an HD truck. Will probably stick with the stock Goodyears intill a legit load D or light E is available.

They have a table on their site of upcoming sizes. Looks like 37x12.5R18 in load range C will be available in 2025.

I’m about to get a set of the 20 inch HFX-1s with a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss from one of our vendors here. Anyone have any input on these tires? Thanks

I was not impressed with Ko2's on my Raptor, think OEM tires on TRX are way better. Would be interested to see how KO3's perform. When i need to replace tires i will do with what came on the truck from factory though.

I wonder how the actual size of the K03 35x12.50s compare to the 325/65s. Does BFG have specs on their site yet? Mathematically, they're near as makes no difference especially given that most 35s aren't quite 35".
