BedRug+Roll and lock

I have a full bedrug + roll and lock cover. Tailgate wont fully seat unless I do 1 of 2 things
1. I unvelcro the part of the bedrug that sits on the tailgate and fold it in
2. I shut tailgate first and cover second while leaving the bedrug alone

What I want to do is open and close the tailgate freely without having to touch the cover

Anyone else had this issue?

Are you using the black J-Clip plastic piece that installs to the tailgate? If so, try removing it and putting the velcro for the bedrug directly to the tailgate. That's what I did w/my retrax.

I worked this issue out while aligning my bed cover. I was able to slide my bed cover just far enough back that it overlaps the tailgate, but far enough forward that it doesn't prevent the tailgate from closing with the bedrug in place. Maye try adjusting your bed cover forward a smidge?

I removed the J clip and that helped a little. I need to look at the adjustment as well. Thanks for the help!

FWIW, my J-clip is still in place. Maybe that would get me even more overlap? Eh...if mine isn't broke I probably shouldn't monkey with it.
