Hi. My bed utility group was deleted so I bought the bed step separately from BAM. Instructions are for a 2500 - they may have sent the wrong part. Can someone with the factory bed utility group snap a few pictures how it is mounted underneath?

Thanks!
Robert

Thanks. There's a hose that goes through the support? That's a completely different part than what BAM sent me. Lovely.

The first pic is looking from the rear tire back towards the bumper. I think he's trying to show you the mounting bolts that are visible on the right side of the step. (There are 2 visible in the pic) The second picture looks like he's showing you the nut on the other side of the truck frame once the step is in place for the 3rd bolt that's not visible in the 1st pic. There are 3 total.

Interesting. Looks different than the 2nd part I got from BAM (first was wrong part sent). Three bolts hold this one on, using a factory nut welded opposite side of the 2 large bolts. Clipped wire doesn't really stick in new bung - may zip tie it but doesn't seem to have anywhere to go if loose. The step does barely hit the metal support. And much harder to get to retract than I expected. Wonder if there's a trick I"m missing or a way to make it easier to retract.

I'm in a similar situation - my bed utility group was missed on my order, so once my truck arrives, I'd like to install the pieces. Do you have the part number for the step? And maybe the adjustable cargo tie downs, if you also ordered those?
