Anyone in the NY NJ area can recommend a descent bed cap dealer. Looking at either A.R.E. or Leer but have no experience with any as this is my first pick up and would love some advice.
My main priority is something that will work with the truck look and keep my stuff dry : )

So far the ranges are from $1800 on some no name cap to around $3500 for an A.R.E. with power lock.

Was also looking at snugtop but they don't seem to have any dealers in the east coast.

The Smartcap can be shipped to your home. It isn’t cheap, but it appears sturdy and sharp looking.

I looked at it. It is heavier then fiberglass and we don't have a lot of payload to loose

I had the ARE Z Series on my Raptor and it was great. I opted for the OTR finish.

I have only ran SnugTop personally and loved it. However I run retrax only now as I just need a cover.

Picking up tomorrow. Can't decide if I hate it or think it kind of fits

Hate it… sorry it looks completely out of place. Most of the trucks that have caps that look somewhat good the cap lines up with the cab for a more factory appearance. That one looks like it was designed for another vehicle and doesn’t fit. It’s your truck though.

Don’t like it either. At least if it was body color matched it may look a little better.

That's a work cap and if you need a good functional work cap you get it. That one has fold up sides and I can see how that's good as I use mine for construction. The pull out bed draw is handy too.
As for a dealer There is a guy on long island called trailer city. There phone number is 631 864 9494

So picked up truck today, just like the anvil LE, it looks much better in person. The flat black parts tie into those around the wheel wells. The tinted windows on the topper match the tint on the truck. However clearly this topper goes better on a darker truck.. I am probably wrapping in stealth so we'll see. So far Impressed with the unit, extremely well made, very solid.

I’m not hating it but also not as clean line as some others. I think this cap is one of the nicer on the market. What is the idea for your setup?

Do you have some photos of your setup and how you use it? I also use my trx for construction. I’ve been changing setups for a while and trying to dial it all together with useable but also functionality.

Not a fan of any tops on trucks, but especially on a TRX.
Hey if it's what you like who cares. Enjoy!
