Hi! So I am like most, in D status. Ordered in January with a dealer allocation. Seems like the bead lock wheel shortage may be holding up production. It could be something else 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can I remove bead locks now? Do you think that’ll speed up production? I know…patience! But that’s not always easy!

Just looking for thoughts. Anyone know an update on the supply shortage? Thanks!

Your dealer is likely the best source of information on that question since they will have to be involved either way. I changed my order while in D status but that was MONTHS ago before production even began so I cant say for sure if its the same now that things are moving.

On a related note, I was talking to the GM of my local dealership on Friday and his personal blue TRX is scheduled to be delivered today. He was telling me that when he ordered the truck the shortage already existed so he spec'd his truck with out the beadlocks from the factory, and then ordered a set of bead locks through parts. The bead locks arrived in about a week and he already has them mounted on a set of tires ready for when the truck arrives. I'm sure that is just a supply chain scenario where a certain percentage of common parts for the truck were sent to parts warehouses so they were in stock prior to trucks hitting the lots. So even though the factory doesn't have parts to build new trucks it doesn't mean they cant be found afterwards.

I've changed my build 4 days before going D1. The dealership rep can get the build modified. Dealer don't want to do it, call corp because I've seen a customer get an option added after the dealer kept saying it couldn't be done.

You’re gunna be waiting either way. You might as well get the build you want. Just my opinion. 🍺😎🍺

I ordered my TRX late February and my dealer said bead-locks were no longer on the list.

I guess that is kind of my concern. IMO, the black truck needs the bead lock wheels. So I would end up buying some aftermarket. OR, I go black wheels and it still takes the same amount of time. Besides seeing others with their trucks…I am in no hurry. I have a great 2019 now. So I may just wait.

I just wish someone knew for sure if that is the hold up. I say that because I know of another order placed a week after mine that was just built 😖 That got me wondering!

Sounds like this is the route I may have to take. It has been a week since I asked my dealer to reach out to their rep to make changes. Any specific number to call?
