I try to do things the right way - either baja or RI.... not a kit from ebay (nothing wrong with that). But on my TRX lets do it right you know?

2022 RAM TRX - amber led pod kit.

PROS:
-street legal
-automotive style connections and excellent build quality on actual light.

CONS:
-Instructions include 3 different layouts on 2 different instruction sheets, complicated by 2 different mounting bracket designs. Furthermore, the pictures are the instructions are not properly labeled (driver and passenger side are flipped). The instructions were given zero thought or care.
-Wrong bolts supplied in my kit, 2 completely different sizes - critical bolts - had to wait on them as well
- The biggest issue is these lights and their GEN 2 brackets for the TRX.... they fit poorly at best. Look at the pictures of the lights, they don't sit in the fog surround very well. Adjusting them is very hard once installed. --Some of the light housing is hidden or partially blocked, making them just look like shit. There are large gaps in the fog light opening. Like they just winged it.
-The amber hue is a significantly different than the other 30 yellow lights on the front of the TRX... looks odd in person.

I paid almost $850 for these, direct from BAJA, didn't get help until i reached out to a sales guy who watches the ram-trx forums.

This kit was slapped together, fits like shit, looks sloppy in the housing, and the performance is average.

I do not recommend. Wish i could get a refund. Lesson learned.

STRONG 0/5 stars. DO not buy.

As a guy that goes full out on my builds and never skimps on quality or price - this isn't the kit. And for what they charged me and the crap i went through troubleshooting their mistakes... hard pass.

I do not recommend. Wish i could get a refund. Lesson learned.
Sadly, mostly similar feedback.

Had many other great BD products, but these fogs are not a good physical fit for the TRX. Forces a lot of cutting of the fog pocket to get them even close to pointing forward. Better described as puddle lights for fog pockets.

I don’t mind the color, BD‘s amber really cuts thru fog & snow well.

I agree 100%.

The actual light is nice, the hue is nice (not sure why i expected it to match - not a huge issue)

The layout and execution is where they failed.

shit instructions, missing parts, poor layout of lights for trx fog pocket, and lack of customer support (my BAJA Designs forum guy did help me - not a word from corporate however).

Save yourself the cash... not a good product.

Hue is more yellow not amber - not a huge deal but be warned.

1st pic just amber rings on no headlights
2nd pic same city amber running lights with just fogs (no headlights in either pic).

Notice the sharp drop-off on the horizontal projectors (making them street legal - not blinding the shit out of people)

Hey @PabloK,
Thank you for the feedback on our TRX fog kit. As mentioned via email and on another thread we just recently changed to our Gen 2 brackets and the instructions still show our old Gen 1 so the photos of the brackets are different the concept is the same but I can understand It can be confusing and working on updating the photos.

The TRX fog pocket kit has a lot of play so sometimes to achieve the proper fitment you need to adjust the lights to achieve the fitment you are looking for. I went ahead and put an example of the "play" you have with the kit and if not adjusted can lead to the lights looking off.

The lighter shade of amber is used to achieve the best driving experience possible and give the best performance possible while driving.

I just sent you a PM and would like to hop on a phone call with you and answer any questions you may have.

Appreciate you reaching out Brahian.

to the best of my knowledge, i have the lights properly mounted to the gen 2 mounts.

I have the 2 top bolts that hold the lights to frame pushed all the way back on the bolt channel. See the 2nd pic to see what i'm talking about.. is that correct or do you have them more in the middle?

i replied to you're PM and thank u for helping me.

Interested in an update. Did you get them to fit properly?

Hopefully you can get the fit right.

BD clearly describes the color on their website. When I installed their amber Squadrons on my ADD bumper, I didn't like the color at all and felt it clashed with my Ridgid light bar. I ended up changing the lenses to white.

On both Jeeps, I used their LP series. I really like them.

alright...

i pulled the bumper off to get into it.

I was able to position them better. There are still some gaps and stuff but in general they look alot better.

I will say the performance of the light itself is very good. The light cutoff is sharp as it should be. With the way you have to mount them to look nice, they project more to towards the corner of the truck... but honestly that's not a horrible thing. At night they really do help illuminate the corners of the road. For example, if there's a deer sitting at the edge of road or in the trees a bit, you can definitely spot them easier. Now you can position them however you want... so if u want more of a straight projection you can do that, but to make them more flush and fill in the gaps of the fog light hole you have to kinda aim them at the corners a bit.

-Light performance is excellent
-Wiring connections, actual lights are automotive quality.

-Price is still too high i think
-Instructions straight up suck - i think baja is working on that
-install and alignment of lights takes serious patience and some trial and error.
-the hue is more of a yellow, while the ram front lights are 100% orange/amber. They don't match at all just an FYI - this might bug some people.

i would recommend this kit if you can find it on sale and have some patience with the install. (or maybe even have a body shop install them)

The cutoff looks very sharp. How’s brightness compared to stock fog lights? Thanks

as much as I'd like to upgrade, I can't because of the gaps/fitment issue.
